3.5/5 It's cute but I don't really like it when the chaser is treated like trash and still won't give up, specially when the object of their affection is unaffected all throughout the story then suddenly makes a U-turn and now he's so whipped for him, doesn't make much sense, at least make him suffer for a bit, make him realize his worth or something.

one of those stories that I already read but forgot, I like the prompt but the overall story just doesn't stick with me. I don't like that the uke always, always tries to run away and refuses to communicate even when the seme is trying to give the chance for them to do it. Also that stalker girl was let off pretty easily, clearly has violent tendencies but all it took to forgive her was a sorry, well at least they're taking precautions, or more likely the seme is taking precaution coz the uke is just too much of a pushover, so much so that it's actually quite unlikeable.

a rare, properly made tsundere seme, who's also not a prick just because he can't express his thoughts properly. And the uke is so confident but earnest at the same time, it's such a nice combination, he's also highly positive but not presented as an airhead, that's good in my books.
Also, I like how they strive to make the relationship work in their own way after its established, no turning into a different character all of the sudden, like the seme is still a tsundere so when he flirts, the uke doesn't even realize it lol.
Everyone is so likeable, and I like how the brother is not paired with someone and is just existing like how a snake-based deity should, it's so fun, also the pit viper servant compliments the story well too, no thrown characters or plot or motives, everything makes sense, even the lore backing up the whole sacrificial thing. Still can't get over that goat as one of the Uzumaki sacrifice tho, like did some ancestor really did it with a goat and it conceived it as the eldest born? or was it just the uke being delirious from being nailed for a few days straight? lmao.
Definitely looking forward to the sequel, I think they're gonna have a kid at some point coz apparently it's possible, can't wait how this continues.

Leads were written like regular men with neither being overtly masculine nor overtly feminine.
I like that the seme totally has an uke vibe around him but it doesn't feel forced and it still works, would be better though if they switch. I dunno, I just want it for the party who's more persistent to be the bottom coz if you're the one who wants it so bad in the first place, then you ought to take most of the strain for that activity too, you know? Also seke couples in BL are extremely rare, this could've been one of those gems, it has great potential.
What I don't like in this though is that the women here are treated like nothing, not even human, the few interactions they have with them, they're always rude to them for no good reason, and eventhough both leads got married (and then divorced), the women they married were treated like tools for their own little childish games; not even for the sake of reproduction, nor inheritance, or something majorly significant, it's just due to some petty reason that's all about each other and crap.
I'm also not a fan of instantly turning 180 after the establishment of relations, specially for works like this one where the development supposedly took years to develop, it just seems off for me, like I'm not reading the same story with the same characters.
Anyway, I couldn't attach myself much either to the characters nor plot at the end.

and they weren't constantly in contact for those 10 long years, the uke should've moved on by then, still I like it, also the fact that the uke did date someone else during those time and not just remain single and martyr waiting for the seme was good too. Seme was too oblivious but at least his realization and confession made sense with how the weaving of the story took place.

fluffy but not overtly sweet that it's cringe-inducing. I also like the fact that the uke did move on from his first unrequited love (there was that HS classmate yes, but forget that prick) AND they managed to have a healthy friendship afterwards. The seme is the puppy sort but at least he knows when to back down and owns up to his faults while still attempting to communicate, he might be too good though, not much flaw there aside from the insecurity that he has which also made sense with his background embedded in the plot. The important thing tho, is that the leads seem to compliment each other, and their dynamic works well.

Everything is up my alley from the art style to the story to the character dynamic, BUT the story is just one of those whiplash sort that goes from one tone to another recklessly, like it's so lighthearted one moment then suddenly it's angsty, also the plot is kinda inconsistent, the uke is supposed to be a brat but also gentle? he's supposed to be a slut but aside from the seme, he's only ever been with one other dude, he pushed the seme away coz he wants him to take him as a pure senpai but his motive from the beginning was actually to get close to him coz he's got a crush on the seme? Like were there edits throughout this production that the author refused to give up that's why the plot seems scattered in multiple ways? the seme on the other hand is more consistent, but boy is he lowkey the type who won't take no for an answer, so much that it's creepy. I would've said that the wobbly plot is due to the translation again, but this group is actually known and are good at what they do, I doubt that's the case for this one.
Really chill, fluffy story with good pacing and likeable characters, including the girl-friend character who was so nice, such a good wingwoman too. Great read, also an uke with physical disability without it becoming his entire personality nor that trait being used in a fetishizing way, how awesome is that?
