Kirishima... I'm sorry but I CAN'T HEAR YOU; MY NEW SHIP'S GOT SUCH A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP GOING ON THAT I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT YOU (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 You better step up your hasubando-game before I'll even consider letting you have Yoshino - have you even seen Shouma?? he's SO DAYUM FINE, OOOFF

I kind of like him **as a fictional character** because he's completely CRAZY, quite charismatic and refreshingly unpredictable. I love villains and crazy dudes in fiction but in real life, I'd keep myself FAR AWAY from those types of people.
But Shouma's got AN ACTUAL CONSCIENCE, he's A SNACK ... AND ... he's got a lovely personality WITH A DASH OF CRAZY (but ONLY A SENSIBLE AMOUNT!) (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Here's to hoping our ship (Shouma X Yoshino) will sail eventually, lol - even though the cover art and overall direction of the story seems to suggest otherwise...

Right? He pisses me off. He's a fun character and there is a fun dynamic, but I hope their story together becomes something more interesting than romance. I think their relationship would be more powerful if Kirishima has to grow and doesn't get what he wants. Or even...him actually letting go of some control. I would like to see them close, as he will surely come to trust Yoshino and feel safe around her like nobody else, but I think their relationship would be more nurturing as something platonic.

Even Hoshino has called him out on this I think, but he says he loves her when he can't and doesn't even know what love is. Its ridiculous for him to insist he loves her when he is so unfeeling and overbearing. Love and obsession are different. I think he admires how different she it, but as he is now, that man does not know love.

Well, at least some of the dialogue makes sense... Chapter 1 was translated so neatly and accurately that the sudden drop in quality of the translation in chapter 2 somehow really startled me. I'm currently learning Japanese in my spare time so I think I'll challenge myself and take a look at the raws - well, if there's no furigana I don't think I can be of much help but anyway!(▰˘◡˘▰)

.. He's giving me the creeps! Judging by the cover of the manhwa, however, it seems like Haesoo's going to end up with him as opposed to his stepbrother, Joowon... ┗( T﹏T )┛I'll pray to the yaoi gods that he ends up with Jowoon instead but I have a feeling my efforts might be in vain...

If you look at the front cover of the manhwa, Haesoo is embracing Taekyung, almost as if he were enthralled by him or something, who's about to bite his neck (?), while Jowoon's face can't even be seen.
The positions of the characters on the cover often foreshadow future development in the story and this particular cover, to my knowledge, seems to imply that Jowoon might not be endgame.
I hope I'm wrong though! ( ̄∇ ̄") I definitely prefer Jowoon!

Wow jinx. Actually I was curious about your opinion and apparently I had the same feeling about it too and your explanation is just exactly like what I hought since the beginning. But then again it could imply something else. But too often covers tell everything about the story but idk though we could be wrong and its still a bit too early to assume things. And ohhh sweetie I'm sorry to say this but I'm Haesu x Taekyung shipper XD. Jowoon is super hot though, and he's really sweet to Haesu too.

I guess you're in luck then! C: To each their own!
I'm getting really bad vibes from Taekyung so reading this (despite it being SO WONDERFULLY WRITTEN, DRAWN AND NARRATED) might get pretty painful for me once Haesoo and Taekyung start getting intimately involved ...
This manhwa is just too good to pass out on even though I really can't stand themes such as cheating, threesomes and stuff along those lines, which I have a feeling might come into play in this story pretty soon.
I'll just indulge in some yaoi fluff between each chapter... or I'll reread FOOLS or something. That ought to heal my heart and soul, lol ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

ahaha for once i really want to see my ship sails XD and omg same! I always try to avoid reading yaoi that involves love triangle, 3some and cheating but have you read From Points of Three? It was kind of painful to read but apparently it was pretty good. Idk but I always prefer 2nd lead to end up with mc. It's become a chronic disorder XD ahahaha yeah fools is the real definition of fluff

hope isn't lost yet, the cover is actually not telling us everything haha, while i agree that it gives off more vibes for taekyung (honestly don't like him haha, whether his looks nor his personality), if you look closely, you can see that haesoo is wearing a collar and joowon is holding the leash..+ you can see that he is standing right behind haesoo and haesoo is leaning into him..storywise idk though, taekyung could be what they both need to finally come together, but at the same time, it seems that taekyung is that strange new 'interesting' guy haesoo will end up falling for..

There's definitely a lot of ambiguous clues that can be derived from the cover - well, I hope Taekyung will just act as some kind of mediator who'll make Haesoo and Jowoon admit how they truly feel about each other! Thanks for pointing out those observations; Jowoon X Haesoo MIGHT be endgame!
I have a feeling we might be a little naive but anyway; how can the creators behind FOOLS, the most wholesome and beautiful manhwa ever created, have the main guy of their next project end up with such a creepy guy (and, yeah; I'm not into his looks either, lol)

yes!!!!! he creeps me out too... he is part "aloof fetishist otaku who always says "beautiful"" trope and part arrogant stoic intimidating... but not sexy. reading the last few chapters was just... ew. Normally I'm all here for sexy intimidation but that was just downright creepy. I would have been out of that cafe the second he laid eyes on me lmao. To me it's very weird that Haesoo isn't supposed to directly notice this because it was so obvious. Also was it supposed to come off as sexy or creepy? All the characters are kinda unlikeable but I don't know if it's supposed to be perceived this way or if it's just for extra drama and earnestness.

Exactly!
In regards to all the characters being kind of unlikeable, I've a feeling it's intentional; I can feel the creators might have outdone themselves in that department... xD it's as far from the fluffiness you get from FOOLS as possible. I think they deliberately tried to create something new and different compared to their previous work(s).

yea they probably went ALL in lol...I loved Fools so much but man I don't like this :( I really want to but something keeps bothering me. I hope in the end this is about breaking down walls and finding true love. Because now it kinda comes off as pretentious and try-hard to me. Normally I'm down for everything but with this I dunno...

Well, I'm gonna give it a few chapters before I decide whether to drop it or read it till the end. I might just take a break from it and come back once we're maybe 15-20 chapters into the story and scroll through the comments section before I make my final decision, though; about halfway through a story, any decent author would make it pretty clear which pairing's going to be endgame - unless they're either a merciless ship destroyer, a heartbreaker or some crazy genius who can manage to make it work out somehow, despite having wasted half the story fleshing out a character that they ultimately decided to drop... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

... I honestly drool whenever he's in a panel, srsly - his brother's okay-looking but his degree of hawtness doesn't compare to the... "I'm-drooling-to-the-point-where-I-might-get-seriously-dehydrated" kind of effect that Jiwon has on me, y'know... (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ Don't worry, Jiwon! I'll support your mean, traumatised (lovely) ass!
I can't wait to see Jiwon and Donggyun all lovey-dovey, though...

... OF COURSE there's no excuse for his treating DG as badly as he did yet it's clear to see now what made him act the way he did; he had been traumatised by his first love and rather than overcoming the sadness, his subconscious decided to unknowingly forge him a cold, heartless exterior in order to protect his fragile, heartbroken self.
He had become scared of love itself and managed to live off the praise he got from his fans online - however shallow that "love" might have been, it kept him from going crazy and stabilised him somehow.
BUT NOW, our boi is ready to graduate from being the worst yet best d*ck of this comic - IT'S CONFESSION TIME, MY FELLOW FUJOSHIS! OH YES! I am SO ready now. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

do you think dg should forgive him though? he's the one that's been hurt after all... of course jiwon can be redeemed if he chooses to be a good person from now on (which still hasn't happened by the way) but i don't think dg is in a position where he'd want jiwon back... i know people who have been treated like this by their partners, and it's not something you want to return to if you're looking out for yourself. i kinda hope the story won't force these two together! maybe time with other people would be for the best, so they can grow. but that feels naive of me to think, they are our main characters after all hahah

Well... real-life logic can ALMOST NEVER be applied to BL manga and manhwa after all (and I'm a hardcore shipper so I, temporarily, throw out my real-life based logic whenever I read BL stuff) ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If you're looking for a wholesome, cliché-free, realistic yaoi comic... eehhmmm, I think you're gonna end up disappointed most of the time.
I'm a hopeless romantic myself, so I always stay hopeful that things will work out somehow between couples when both parties love each other; I know not everyone believes a relationship that was initially unhealthy can change that drastically but I've personally seen it happen in real life so I believe it'll work out eventually between Alex and DG.
Also, it would've been a huge waste of character development and flashbacks from the author's part if they didn't intend to make Alex X DG endgame; that's the nature of the genre - short and sometimes a little predictable. I really loved the unexpected twists of this manhwa so far though. But when it's almost based solely on illustrations (comics), it becomes pretty obvious who'll end up with whom unless it's a love triangle or something.

hahah, i know, i don't read yaoi that much anymore cause i don't like the unrealistic aspects of the genre. i would want things to work out between them if i genuinely liked them as a couple, but i just don't in this case. i guess that really just means i should maybe drop this story more than anything though hahah.
i definitely think an unhealthy relationship can change into a healthy one, but it feels like a bit too big of a topic to tackle with a bl comic... which is probably why i'm not liking how they do it here. mostly though i just think the pov change feels unnatural and unecessary. i guess maybe the flashback is necessary for us to understand his upcoming redemption arc, but it feels a little bit shoehorned in.
... If so ... then PLEASE SPOIL IT - I'M TOO ATTACHED TO JOWOON X HAESOO!
If he's gonna end up with Taekyung, I'm gonna wait until the story's been fully translated to English so that I can binge-read it and recharge with some super fluffy stuff.
I honestly think it's an amazing manhwa but it's so heartbreaking for me to read; love triangles really pull at my heartstrings in a bad way. It leaves me feeling emotionally drained, yet, my desire to know how the story ends manages to outweigh my fear of the outcome of the story not aligning with my ideas and desires on behalf of Haesoo and Jowoon's happiness. ╥﹏╥
I feel you, darling. really (except I’m team Taekyung). I hate love triangle stories the most. And for this manhwa, no one knows yet, it’s still on going. And it’s a total mystery for me as well. I was so convinced of who would end up with Haesoo at first but now I waver a bit.
Ify.
