I’ve read dozens of villainess, tyrant husband historical fantasy tropeslop stuff but I just realized this is only the second one I can remember where they’ve acknowledged the existence of a period. And the first is just a vague memory of a mistress failing to get pregnant (of which I literally might just be thinking of handmaid’s tale). I’ve noticed along with the artstyle change, the panels have become increasingly busy. There is just far too much going on, way too many patterns and not as much focus on a specific subject. In the pursuit of detail it’s becoming a bit of a nightmare to look at. Difficult to pay attention when my eyes aren’t being drawn to a specific part of the picture.
The earlier chapters had a lot of patterns as well to be fair, but the focus on characters and fading made it far more bearable.
Those last few panels are really funny. The rest though, not very funny. Well well well, look who came crawling back because they’re poor and have addiction issues hmmm?
