I don’t know why every other piece of symbolism hit me except the fact that there was a ghost in the house her husband was the only one denying its existence. His mom was probably cheating but he couldn’t understand it as a child. I think they’ll come to the agreement of letting the ghost possess him while asleep, so they can go at it like crazy.
