I don't know what generation you are from, but this is one way of victim blaming and you should really stop it. Rape is such a horrible thing to have to survive, no one gets to say which is the right way to overcome it. And your words.... Women are not the only ones assaulted in that way and you are calling all women who survived rape but decided not to report it weak and selfish. Which is far from true. The law is rarely on the victim's side and societal pressure is immense. Victim blaming, slut shaming, gossip, threats and constant doubt by others is not something a lot of people can handle, and it's more than sad that you think it should become a requirement.
I understand what you are saying. But, then can you suggest a better way of getting out of such a situation without blaming the rapist? And, honestly, should you listen to the worthless words of a society that chooses not to believe what you are saying even though you have been harmed intensely, and that same society knew what kind of person you were before the incident, too. Also, not everyone is against the victim in such situations, some friends also stand by you.
I apologise deeply. It's a situation that can cause severe stress and trauma that is unfathomable for those who haven't experienced it. I will leave it to the victims to choose their way of coping with such a situation
