Wow, I'd say Odin is living a much better life than Diesel does.
But I'm really sorry for Diesel as a character here. He has nobody and can only cling to anybody that shows him TLC. Your family all dead. You cannot have a job because werewolf problems. You either need a pack to survive or a human to care for you. This is such a tricky plot the author has set for this character.
