i really love the theme of self love and acceptance and MC having amazing people like her friend to inspired her growth. was surprised for it to end more realistically than what i'd assume happen in supernatural stories. compromise is one defining factor of how healthy their relationship was
everyone drags the husband but i see his personality alot similar to people tht grow up supressing everything they dont even know who they are or even view themselves as a priority in any situation. i grew up without learning unconditional love and while my siblings did as they wish id always get punished for the most harmless things like asking for help. ur mind freezes just trying to do things others see easy bc its smth u dont know lol. its easier to deal with ppl tht hate u bc ur used to it but for ppl who love and validate you they become so important even if they tell you its ok u never will risk it and will put them first always bc having them hate u be more painful than death.
i feel both MCs are like this which is why they are trapped in this loop and keep trying to make things work and growth will be extremely slow but im glad to see them trying to expand their horizons
this was a nice short piece that left me satisfied with how it ended. things didnt go perfectly but the daughter and mothers relationship was what shined here
