Remember she can't tell them a lot of things due to the restrictions. Yes, she cleared the first condition but still hasn't been able to gain control over what she can tell or not. If she tries to tell Killeon or her MIL, she's going to get punished by the system.

But she still could’ve shown him her bruises I think as long as she didn’t go into detail. If she said she felt unsafe and wanted new maids or somehow explained I think it would’ve worked

Or she could’ve told the doctor to treat her bruises? Then the doctor would’ve told Killian(?) that way she indirectly made him aware without her breaking any rules

Kind of. You could say yes, the author is the one setting the restrictions and the conditions to clear each one. So in a way the author is responsible for Edith and all Edith's not being able to tell the truth, what is happening inside the Rigelhoff family and what she's gone through.

With a family that would literally believe a single rumor to make her life impossible? Heck, right now Killeon is the one being the most reasonable out of the three men in that house and still has his fare share of doubts towards Edith. I don't think going "Hey, look at this bruise... My maid did it" is exactly a way to go. They think of Edith as an attention seeker and knowing her family, the Rudwick head and Killeon's brother wouldn't hesitate to think she's making a fuss because of her situation and is trying to gain pity.

It is an unfair situation, yes. Heck, Killeon allowed that Edith's brother brought that maid into the mansion because just thought that was best for Edith and didn't let the previous maid to keep watching Edith and the Rigelhoff's maid just in case. Everyone there is just plain stupid for the sake of the plot.

I forgot to add that everyone there (except a bit for Edith's MIL) is head over heels for the FL given the original story. Hardly could change the mentality of someone who practically adores and is obsessed with other, even if Edith treats with respect and is nice to the FL. Also, since the plot tends to go back to its original course even though Edith does things that goes against it, all situations put Edith as the bad one or pity one who is jealous from all the attention FL is getting from the Rudwick's and Killeon.

Yes. It's stated that the author controls everything about the current situation, repeating the same story over and over again because they love how everyone fawns over Reeze and hates Edith. But after a time of seeing the same plot develop the exact same, they got bored and allowed others to posses Edith Ridgelhoff. That way, they could spice things up within the story and it worked, bringing entertainment to the author. This girl is the 13th Edith that has possessed her body...
