i didnt notice this until they pointed it out.
It just brings me to appreciate this work more.
(for those confused. im talking about the Authers' notes at the end of season 2. they wanted to convey the emotional journey of the main characters through the leaves. from green all the way to autumn red)

i like the dynamics, not much some of the scenes they use as plot lol
literally used m*lestation as plot- (as far as i understand no penetration happened which would TECHNICALLY make it m*lestation)
BUT THE DYNAMICS RTGFE
yes
very interesting. this is actually the 1st time ive seen a manga actually show a qpr (queer platonic relationship). its done sortof accurately when it comes to bond but for the rest is not handled appropriately.
the main character and his "friend" are partners. partners for life at this point. not romantic but are both so attached to eachother that they cant let eachother go.
they need and want eachother in their lives. they dont have romantic feelings but have this bond. (on both sides)
thats the barebones of what a qpr is.
the cons: (in this manga)
i dont think the author realizes that they made a qpr. its not super well known outside of the aroace community (fellow aroace here). they also arent handling it nicely. there is a lot of unclear boundaries and a lot of actions that come off as invasive. sometimes even just disrespectful.
even if it does represent a qpr, just KNOW this is an example of a .... somewhat dysfunctional one ( just how romantic and any type of normal relationship can be dysfunctional) ngl sorta sad to see the most accurate rep in manga ive seen thus far is or a dysfunctional relationship. hope it doesnt leave a bad impression on those who have no experience with these kind of relationships
them alone is fine as a qpr but they need to have some communication and set some boundaries when introducing someone who is romantic into the mix. (like if you dont wanna stop that fine but at least talk about it)
anyways just my ramblings.
sending a whole ass book in the comments like always (damn i talk alot)

like how they stop multiple times and talk inbetween making out and stuff.
its actually what happens irl.
there are always moments where in the heat of things someone forgets the lights, a towel, a pillow, condom, hair-tie etc
seeing this made me realize that a lot of manga forget the tiny inconveniences that pop-up that add a sense of realism/detail to their scenes
dan is going to lose everything.
Sadly, to him his grandma was the only person in his life who loved him.
He has no other family. The house, the only place he knew is no more.
He had a crush and he realizes its hopeless and nothing.
The only person that has always been there for him is about to go even tho he tried his best to hold on to her.
After she dies. He is literally going to have nothing.
Nobody to love, Nobody to love him and not even a home to go to.
most likely something is going to happen that causes his to get fired. He lives with his boss. He is going to be homeless with no money due to using it all on bills.
