for the most part I normally agree that the rape was unnecessary for the story. And I definitely think that they shouldn't have had sex right afterward. That all being the case, in this specific story, about a man prostituting himself out, no pimp, not even any fellow prostitutes that he hangs around with. I think the rape was not a surprise event. I mean this happens irl to prostitutes all the time. So its not really surprising that it happened to him. Now could they have tied it into the story better? yes but oh well ╮(￣▽￣)╭
