I found this manga when I was in 6th grade, it was my first ever yaoi that I found myself and I fell in love with it ever since. I remember thinking when I found out the little sister was 13 or something "wow, she's older than me!" When I entered middle school, I used to recite some of the lines in the manga while waiting for updates, and I even used some infomation I learnt about in this manga for my school. I wrote little fanfics around this shit too. I used to celebrate Senpai's birthday and I was so happy we basically shared the same birthday. I was in LOVE with this manga.
I don't know why, this manga is the worst ever and its extremely toxic. Morigana rapes Souichi(?) Souichi gets mad, morigana manipulates him and the cycle repeats. That isn't love. Love cannot form from being raped and manipulated. Of course when I was a child I thought it was okay and romantic since "Souichi wanted it" False. Horrible thinking. This poor man is a victim and I know he'll never escape this relationship. The writing is repetitive and once you think progress is made the next chapter comes out and it reverses. Nothing really happens besides rape, manipulation, abuse and bad shit romance.
I no longer read this and haven't in a while but I just thought to leave this message as a parting gift. It's weird to grow up and see something so important to my childhood is actually a horrible piece of media.
I think this is why I appreciate it tho: remembering how much I loved it as a teen vs realizing nowadays how shitty their personalities are is showing how much we grew and learned things. For better or worse. :'D
