I will say one thing. Look at sensei, just look what he is doing. I can understand his actions as i'm the same. I will not say "i love you", but I will go for "pain in the ass" date or do things that i do not like (clean up in this case) just to make other party few better.
Sensei said that he prefer just being the two of them at home, just the two of them. He smile at him when he was asked about "sex toy" thing, i liked that smile it is like "you stupid child I change my whole life for you and im with you here and now, and we are doing crazy things that you like as you please".
I would be out of character if he act different way. He is that kind of a person.

Nah, I agree. I don't feel anything between the two. Not the best story I read. People in the comments are thinking too deep on this story. It's lackluster.
