Here’s what I’ve been thinking,
when someone truly dies, both the body and the mind are gone. The body rots and the mind/soul completely leaves right? Body becomes like an eggshell without the egg inside. And I believe the org Hikaru died and his soul completely moved on to the afterlife so now he’s a brand new person with no connection of his past life. It’s like a full reset. He might’ve been reborn as a human or even as an animal or maybe gone to heaven. We don’t have any info on that so I can’t say for sure.
in this case, the current ‘Hikaru’ is living with Original Hikaru’s memories right? ( Idk how that’s work tho ) He said he’s not sure whether his feelings are the org Hikaru’s or his own. Personally, I think everything he feels for Yoshiki is his own. Caz if the org Hikaru hadn’t completely died and some part of his soul mixed with this ‘Hikaru’ then it’d be like two Hikarus coexisting in the same body and in that case, their feelings could mix. But since i believe the org Hikaru is completely gone then these feelings are 100% this Hikaru’s
i can see where you’re getting at, but i think at the beginning, ‘Hikaru’ already was close to Yoshiki because of Hikaru’s memories. i do believe that originally, his feelings and fondness that he had for Yoshiki was due to that, however, ‘Hikaru’ began to have his own feelings and opinions. this proven to be the case on that one chapter when he explained how his preferences are different from Hikaru’s. this then caused him to be confused because he’s unsure whether it’s Hikaru’s feelings or his due to the fact that originally, it WAS just Hikaru’s feelings. once he got inside his body, Hikaru’s thoughts and memories were all he knew of. he didn’t have emotions or any feelings of life before then.
Now I can already hear those Taegu haters typing ‘he’s a pedophile!!’ (≖_≖)
I get why some of u are weirded out by the whole ‘he literally knew him since he was a kid and now he has feelings for him’ part but calling him pedo just shows ur brain lvl Either u have zero knowledge about what pedophilia actually is or ur just coping to justify ur hate toward Taegu (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

He’s not my Hikaru’ hits me so hard. I love both Hikarus but I’m a bit biased toward ‘Hikaru’ ngl. Now I’m looking forward to Original Hikaru’s POV when he was alive. I can see he clearly cared about Yoshiki but I wonder if he ever had romantic feelings for him or if he was just hiding it. IMO Original Hikaru seemed oblivious about those stuff, so I think he might not have had feelings for Yoshiki tho :((

I’ve seen some ppl complain about backstory and drama stuff idk if that’s just being dramatic as readers and vibing with the story but if u guys really don’t like it, then honestly this story just isn’t for u tho. It’s literally built on complicated characters, misunderstandings and messy drama. I think this’s the whole point.
So if u can’t handle that much then honestly this kind of story just isn’t ur cup of tea
it's usually people that dislike complex story telling that complain when manhwas go out of their way to take their time with backstories or world building
