Finished it in less than 4 hours, didn’t expect the chapters to be shorter than an average BL manga.
Top-tier BL mangas for me are the ones that make my stomach churn—Deadlock def made me feel that way almost all throughout the story. The plot wasn’t unique, but it was one of the best-written BL manga sets in jail. The thing that separates it from others with the same plot is that the rape and sexual assaults weren’t romanticized at all, because I felt sick to my stomach after I read those disgusting things that happened with Matthew and Yuuto. I expected it, but— God, I couldn’t take to see the next page when I saw that panel of Matthew lying naked with blood on his face and body. And the most horrifying thing was when his assailant talked about it proudly, it was almost detailed, it made me pause reading. Thank goodness, unlike other authors, Deadlock's author did not graphically show those scenes and focused more on the plot itself. And maybe it wasn’t completed yet, but I didn’t feel any tingling sensation from the romance between Yuuto and Dick. If Dick wasn’t the ML, I’d go for Rivero— he’s everything, not really a green flag I guess, but first thing's first, he’s such a daddy! He’s so hot! I mean, almost all the guys here are freaking hot. Mark— the FBI guy, Paco, Yuuto’s step brother, and ngl BB, the black second in command. But I’d still choose Rivero all the way, he’s so fine! Anyways, I like that the misunderstanding of Dick being Corvus didn’t take too long to be misunderstood by Yuuto. Also, I fr cried when Yuuto reunited with his step brother and sisters, that’s so wholesome! I do hope the other chapters/volumes get uploaded here. It'd be great too if I could see more of Rivero!!!

just finished reading chapter 6 and I need to get this out of my chest— every time Hibiki shows up in a chapter, I just wanna zip his mouth right the fucking way! GOD the attitude, SMH! I know I shouldn’t judge his character yet since I’m not even halfway through the whole story, but damn it! he pisses me off!
