I knew from the start that it wasn't Kayden since I know how the author likes to do stupid misunderstood moments like this.
And I remember the story mentioning Kayden copying a cat when he first turned into a cat so that would mean that there's a not-Kayden cat out there somewhere. I just didn't expect to actually see the original cat at all.
When MC burned those posters while the village head watched with an "Oh", I was both cracking up and crying for the chief. I know MC was embarrassed but did he gotta do your not-grandpa dirty like that XD
