It might be irritating at first but it'll grow on you as you read. They'll only be showing numbers of times of his death rather than the whole battle during those times and it adds more impact to his frustration at the same time determination to get stronger each battle.
Around chapter 80s, the pacing went fast and the story flow fucked up. I persevere until C106 and have decided to drop it.
