Honestly, the childhood story ain't even saving this dude from being a black flag. He's just a rapist who has weird obsessions with her because apparently, she's not afraid of blood like other people. And I got the ick when the author tries to push the 'has been in love since childhood' narrative after the mc is trash and had left a not so good impression from the start. Not even interested to know how this is gonna turn out the be a 'romance' (as per the genre it says) and I'm really not that mentally ill to even continue reading it

It's not "saving" him from being a black flag. I think it's pretty much established what his character is, it just provides more context/backstory about their relationship before. Reading the novel I don't think there's any attempt at redemption lol just acceptance that the story is like this and ml's character is like that, so yeah if this isn't for you then just drop it rather than mentioning being "not mentally ill to read it"

It's not really that hard to understand the storyline. Maybe it's because I like complex stories but I don't find why yall find it hard, maybe it's the translation but if you actually connect the dots it's pretty simple and it captivates me a lot like I'm hooked. I'm interested to know how they're gonna plan to strike, I love how they're forming deep relationships through their works and I love the characters so much

Basically Fl's family is being framed of plotting "treason" because a popular song has been going around how FL's family whose traits are of blue eyes and golden hair stand as "gods" who will bring people prosperity which in the political eye is like saying FL's family got a stronger hold and is much more like the sun than the actual royal family, if you get what I mean. This is all happened as FL and her sister was preparing for her sister's debut, and well since it was the social season, FL decided to attend some nobleman's party, who is the chief of a rich and popular town and who as a gift gave the family a big fancy boat (I believe FL wanted to check on the noble's intentions as to give her or her sister that congratulatory gift). During the party, FL found out about the song the famous singer had spread who is the same girl people claim she looked a lot like, while she encountered the prince from the other country and I don't remember the reason why he was there but it was for some reason he had to get involved on the FL's family situation. From the rumors spreading around and the accusation, ML was either sent by his father or voluntarily went to inspect if the rumors were true or not which him and his father both knew it was not (the case can be considered the opposite for ML's older brother though), so he just went to "investigate" on the situation and the cause of it.
Why is there so many flashbacks at once and why is It on the night they have their first night? Authors sure know how to make you want to strangle them but love them at the same time
