I've never understood why scars always look like that in Manga/anime styled art. If anything, they'd generally lighter than the original skin and don't look like a tear, but are more bumpy looking usually, although I do have a few that do look like the area was carved out, but it's still most often lighter in my observations.

That would be my THIRD TIME waiting, being that I had to wait for the officials, then I'm waiting now to get any officials, and if I read what's out and they discontinue the translations again I'll be forced to wait on the officials to catch up AGAIN!

Anyway, the actual question:
