Is this really by Reck, the author of hate mate? They really have a way to make unlikable protagonists more likeable than anyone else
I'm curious too if it's by Reck. Like, the art style is uncannily familiar but if compared to Hate Mate and Digitalis, the art style of this manhwa is still different—smoother and defined. I love Hate Mate's art style that's why I always look at it. So I don't know if it is a work by Reck (since the name of the author shown on the panels was different).
Anyway, this webtoon is really interesting and your comment about the protagonists is a spot on!
Yes it is same author with hate mate and digitalis. Someone saif that rex is under dell studio now thats why his author name changed, but ive read somewhere else, rex has problem (thats why digitalis end abruptly), and change his name in this new work. I think it still has rex distinct in their art, but it is improve well. I love both the old and new art tho.
I think there's a need for proofreaders on this series. The names aren't constant at all and the information given is so vague. I read a french translation of the first chapter and that's the only way I somehow knew what was going on
I hate it, when they constantly change their mind on how to spell it. I understand though, why they might have changed the nicknames, as Neill is actually a male name and Lizzy was not a nickname for Patricia. Ricy on the other hand is just a godawful nickname >.< Because of the 'ric' I kind of pronounce it lke rice and it's just awful
The story is great but I feel like it could definitely go without the isekai element. Like the plot stands on its own already
I am pretty sure she rules her land using whatever knowledge she got from her original world to make sure her people live comfortably and the town prosper.
She is the Lord of that land for awhile already replacing her father. She makes laws, new business and other stuff. That's why she got lots of money.
But all those will be gone because the King of Her kingdom lost to the Empire.
That's why she need make sure not to lose her status to protect her family and her territory/people.
Because if she lost her status, someone else will be replacing her to rule the territory, and she worries that that someone will be a bad ruler who suck dry the people...
The trope of "we're not blood-related so let's date!" is so bizarre when the two main characters have had a family dynamic all their lives... At this point, they really are brothers. And honestly it's weirder for 2 ppl who have considered themselves brothers to date rather than 2 blood-related complete strangers

I hope for the plot that Ebony actually killed those two men and it wasn't just murders pinned onto her since that would be too cliché. I am all up for an heroine who's a guilty criminal fighting the patriarchy and not just another wrongly convicted person
judging by her reaction they seem to want to frame the whole thing as just an accident and there is no way someone as timid and passive like her would actually kill anyone. too bad.. she would be more interesting if it was a planned murder.
I think she might just be disagreeing with this whole image of being a cold blooded murderer who premeditated everything. It could be my wishful thinking but when the archduke said she was surely acting in self defense, Ebony seemed to be like YEs yes that!
I think, everyone is able to kill. It's just a matter of cornering people so badly that they feel they have to fight.
