I mean they have not even spent a night together, so this infertility accusation is just baseless for now

I know, but what I mean is how could the nobles have then all decided to take a concubine in the council, without the king even saying "we still haven't done anything so there's no way to know" he could at least have tried to defend the queen, or maybe ask for a prior checkup, anything really, but he's just wallowing in self pity... (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
So just because he did not like her answer, he slutshames her for sleeping with him without having feelings for him, even though he has been doing the same thing for years, and since he is such a narcissist, he decides to humiliate her by ordering her to strip and bend... Yeah no I thought we were getting a strong FL, not just a doll that obeys and has no brains or self-respect. This is the definition of toxic.
While he was mean about it, It’s more that he was trying to prove a point and waiting to see if she would truly go through with it. I was actually wondering if she really would as he asked her to do that, and that truly allowed me to see her character for what she is.
Like you, I had different expectations. However she’s nothing I thought she would be. She’s a ruthless warrior whose loyalty had her willing to kill herself back when she realized that the person she’d harmed was the crown prince. She would kill herself without hesitation if the king told her to. She’s pure and innocent to the point where it would be easy for a royal family member to warp her mind so she can be nothing but an evil killing machine. That doesn’t mean she isn’t strong. You’ve placed standards on a character whose character in that specific time period, truly depicts her as strong.
I understand your explanation and I do see your point, I suppose I just can't like that type of character ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
