Honestly at this point I’d even take “Simpson yellow” over “so white/pale I can see the flow of your red blood cells on overcast days.” Idk why variation in appearance is so rarely done in this genre, and it’s a shame because it’s one of my fav’s.
I agree that a variation with skin color would be great to see, but this 'paleness' that we complain of is normal to their colorist society. We can only hope to get more works with better representation.

I don’t really like this it was kinda nice in the beginning but this feels so weird to me. He’s so much older and I know technically they’re like around the same age but physically he met her when she was 14 and watched her grow up. Also idk actually a lot of things in this story just made me really uncomfortable. I honestly wanted her and Alec to leave for the countryside and just enjoy a stress free life, not this… this just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not yucking anyone’s yum but this was not it (imo) yeah idk. Just don’t understand why she couldn’t be of age like idk 23 at least and more mature? Not as childish? Ughhhhhh idk but the more I think about this story and especially the ending the more I realize how bad this story was, not the whole thing! The ending between the saintess and Nina was really nice but yeah.
