I think he says "father" for the same reason here as he has up till now, it's used ironically. He had been using it for his mother, all the while knowing their relationship was faked and now he's using it here to indicate he's going to "reunite the family" so to speak by killing himself and Sihyoon and going to where his mother is. I think it's actually that he convinced Sihyoon into a double suicide with him, in ch 39 it shows that Sihyoon quit his job before moving on to show Kyunghee visiting Junsik in prison for some kind of closure and finally showing Kyunghee put flowers on his mother's grave while revealing the cuts on Kyunghee's wrist before they "head back"... Somewhere... It looks like he's preparing to die and the fact that Sihyoon quit his job makes me think he's coming too. A double suicide. Would Sihyoon be able to live without Kyunghee? I don't think so. If he knew Kyunghee was GOING to kill himself no matter what, i could see Sihyoon agreeing to also.
