I agree with not liking her brother. But Shiori was pretty much just an innocent bystander in it all. And she was actually the one who called Yoru when she couldn't get a hold of Asaichi for help. Her brother was a real asshole to take an accident that far was really uncalled for. And she was actually accepting of both Yoru and Asaichi's feelings in the end. So I actually like her much better than a lot of other girls who get in the way of the couple in other manga. (she's actually the first one that I haven't imagined having a high-pitched annoying voice lol which is what makes me hate them even more XD)
But she was trying to use Asachi to get to Yoru and she wanted to step in between that relationship but gave up when she realized she couldn't.
