They touched on my concern in the last chapter without really addressing it. Like yes Juergen can propose 500 years from now, but is Joachim going to live for even 100 years???? They mentioned over and over again that Joachim is a normal human, I would love to hear that there’s a dragon’s lover life extension clause but they’ve never mentioned anything of the sort.

I don’t actually know anything these are just theories and guesses. I’m thinking MAYBE, BIG MAYBE in a past life Phelan and Yuma were lovers and the goddess cursed/punished Yuma for being a traitor by forcing him to be reincarnated into “outsiders” that feel instant hostility and the need to kill Phelan. I think the hostility weakens over time and exposure to Phelan which is why the goddess kept choosing people closest to Phelan, the more time Yuma had to fight it the closer he would come to breaking the curse. When Nine says Yuma can breaks the curse on his own I think choosing not to kill Phelan and loving him despite him turning into the demon king would break the curse- which I think was pretty much just reincarnating with hate and blocking his memories related to the curse. Phelan’s curse as the demon king is obviously his lover trying to kill him even if he doesn’t know they’re lovers. It’s a never ending cycle because the closer they get to loving each other the stronger the curse is and the harder the betrayal.
