that sounds like the previous “life” version of the mc you’re talking about. i don’t even think the boyfriend was present during that time period and even if she did seduce the ml and eventually came to love him, her goal was always to leave and go back to her own world so it’s not coercion so to speak but she did offer up her body to get what she needed. i’m sure she didn’t want to have the son or at least have any intention of doing so, which is why she was probably okay going back without him. that’s not to say she didn’t care about him but it was all done to return to her world. then again, i haven’t read the novel so i have no clue what how the “previous mc” viewed her son before leaving him behind.
as for the present time and regarding the two sex scenes in the story so far, the first time was absolutely rape and second was coercion since she only agreed to have sex with him and abide by his plans so she could get information to go back to her world which he knows she wants and can’t get otherwise without his help, and he wouldn’t tell her about it unless she agreed to what he wanted which was sex and having another child of his = coercion.
i was mainly talking about the present time where mc has no recollection of her previous time with the marquis since op comment was mentioning the bf who’s only been shown to have been in the present time only! since they said she was cheating when she had in fact been raped and coerced into having sex with the marquis.
