So, even if you get permission to put whatever you want on someone's back, is it appropriate to do a near-full back tattoo? I, for one, don't think so. Plus, wings have the double whammy negatives of being completely unoriginal and full of religious allegorical significance that could offend the recipient. I don't think it was a good choice (for the mangaka or the character).
When the tattooist said it would take 4 sessions I assumed he was doing something small and dragging it out, but that's not the case if it's such a large tattoo.
