I read mad dog the authors other work that just ended, and thankfully while the ML is basically woojin but with his empathy lvl increased 2% the bad news is his personality is so much worse

It is considered shameful for the victims and is almost never prosecuted. Nothing would have happened to the perpetrators. The shame brought on the family would have been the worst of it.

Just because it is considered "shameful" doesn't mean the perpetrators should be let go?? Wym nothing would've happened to them? Blonde dude definitely had connectionc and he could've done something. I think you misunderstood my comment, Im talking about taemin, NOT original siwon when I'm talking about reporting. Taemin threw out the evidence an said let's not stoop to their level, which is what started my rant because that made it clear Taemin felt like reporting SA would be ruining perpetrators lives therefore being the same as what they did to Siwon, and its fucked up to compare those two things. That's a horrible reason for taemin to not to report. Once again, i was talking about taemin not giving the evidence to report, and you're talking about the original siwon. I wanted them to get justice for him since he died, i wanted taemin to use the evidence to report, I wasnt talking about original siwon not reporting... BUT now we're on the topic, you seem to think I would be unsympathetic to the reason original siwon k***ed himself, and i want u to know i am aware there's definitely a stigma against victims of SA in a lot of asian cultures and it does seem like many people hesitate to report it because of backlash. I do wish he didnt and his story is incredibly devastating, but I guess that is the story and the body switch wouldnt have happened otherwise. But imo it feels a little pointless for the story to involve taemin switching to siwon's body if he doesnt even help conclude siwon's story and throws away the evidence.

Fr AND there was widely distribution video evidence of graphic SA which is a crime itself. I doubt nothing would happen especially if blondie got involved. But once again nova if ur misunderstanding, we arent shaming original siwon for k***ing himself, we were mad at taemin throwing out the confession blondie recorded. And if you're aware we were talking about taemin and you were also talking abt him, I doubt taemin was thinking about stigma or shame on the family when he threw out the evidence. He kinda made it clear he isnt emotionally connected to taemin's life or family. And even if that is the reason he threw it out, video has been and is actively circulating the school probably even after the story ends since no one reported it (thanks taemin). What "shame" can reporting prosecution bring when the entire school already has watched the video of the SA. By the time taemin is in siwon's body, literally everyone knows. Even if taemin threw out the confession to 'not bring shame" on Simon's family, since everyone has already seen the video or heard of it it's not even a secret anymore. At the very least he could have brought the attackers to justice, and yes they would have been prosecuted, with evidence, confession and a powerful person on their side. South Korea does have pathetic handling of SA cases and 100% needs improvement but it isnt a lawless country. Taemin throwing out the evidence did absolutely nothing for siwon

This wasn't a story about social justice and changing the world.
The confession could only be used the same way the SA recording was. To shame and humiliate.
No one would ever be punished legally for the SA, thus Siwon's dispare and death. It is an important part of the story. You are supposed to hate it and not hate Siwon for giving up.
Our main characters had massive challenges to overcome in their personal lives and found a way to survive.
Personally I love this story, but it comes with a lot of suffering.

Literally everything you just said I already referred to in my first response but let me just repeat myself I guess.. I already explained why taemin would not be 'shamed or humiliated' by the confession as he is not siwon and doesnt feel personally connected to what happened to siwon. Also you said in your first comment you believe siwon committed suicide because of his stigma against victims of SA and I agreed with some o what you said. But now out of nowhere you're saying he k***ed himself because he thought no one would be punished legally.. I doubt that was his reason, but I think that's what YOU think. If story was written in a setting where the attackers wouldnt be punished, why tf would there be an entire plotline of blondie bothering to get the confession? If you were actually reading you would realise his goal was to Record Confession > Give to Police. To get them 'punished legally". I doubt people bother collecting evidences or confessions in a place where it wouldnt help convict someone.
