He just wants to know why his mother/sister figure who RAISED him and taught him all about the world has not only abandoned him but tried to MURDER him. She was his whole world for many years.
He deserves answers.
Which is why I'm not shocked he's losing his cool. Can you imagine if the only person you knew you entire life and taught you how to read, write, and the world around you just abandoned you for no reason? Then after you went through all these trials you learn that they hated you and try to kill you and your friends?
And when you meet them once more and just want answers they just ask why you continue to chase after them and why you didn't just die. You realize they hate you and you don't understand why. Why raise you if they hated you? What is it that means so much to them that they could do this to you?
It is some serious mind fuckery.
You are so right. Baam has all the reasons to get upset and a little crazy.
And that is the biggest question about Rachel: Why did she raised and teached not just every knowledge, but also moral values and concepts like friendship and respecting women to someone, if she hated him or was willing to abandon that person afterwards...? WHY!? I could understand if she did that to use Baam, make him attached to her and love her, so she could use his power to climb the tower. But the incoherence or contradiction is that: she doesn't want him to help her nor follow her... it doesn't make sense.
I really don't think Rachel hated Baam since the begining... maybe he loved him at first, but her envy grew so much it changed her feelings of friendship/or motherly love to disdain... ant that's why she tried to murder him...?
Yeah, I see a lot of her feelings about Baam being tied to her ideals of her own self-worthy and that SHE should be the one who was brought to the Tower and not Baam. And that is fed by her feelings of insecurity and envy.
I don't think she realized that working WITH Baam could have enabled her to get her goals. Or, this deal with FUG is really complicated and they made sure she excludes Baam.
And while I feel there is something fishy about her deal and her treatment of Baam...I'm leaning more on the idea that her jealousy turned her love into hate. It's not unheard of in friendships and families. Even parents have turned on their children out of envy.
Well, everybody confronted Mephisto about his games and tests. I think we all learned a lot from this too.
Mephisto purposely gathered this group of people to work together. Each arc has been a test for one of them specifically and as a group. I'm curious as to why he has done so with this specific group of people. What is it about them that makes him think they can win against Lucifer?
And it turns out that Rin's brother has met Lucifer? He's been on Earth? Oh dear. Might have to re-read the series as to when that happened.
This is like a murder mystery with political intrigue to try to find out what is the truth.
nonono lucifer is one of satans sons the "commander" of the illuminatie. you know the one that wears the mask (=・ω・=)
So it seems that Grandeur the prince who was sold was only temporarily sold?
Basically, it seems that the Princes and their entire royal line for generations has been genetically altered and they are all designer babies. For some reason they really support incest within the family so they have it so only the designer babies can fall in love with each other. I guess to prevent coups? Or some sort of cult thing?
Minshea seems to be a non-genetically altered prince by the Princes' father. Basically, I think he's a bastard child but he's got money and power. And he wants Grandeur and he still owns him even if he's not in possession of him? He also seems to be jealous of the crown prince because Grandeur is in love with him?
I think this just a thrown together hap dash plot in order to hit people's kinks of hot which is why it is difficult to understand. It's like classic pornos, the plot is there just for the sex scenes.
Okay, I think I understand what was going on.
The country the Prince (Grandeur) is from just lost the king. The eldest prince is supposed to inherit but they need money? So the queen decides to auction off the second prince at a party. He has a guard named Jin.
The one who wins the auction is Minshea (the Arabic guy) who is someone the prince knows. However, from the conversation with Jin he was only supposed to purchase the prince to keep him away from the other bidder who is referred to as Snake. It seems he's a real bastard. But Minshea for someone reason decides to do what Snake would do to him. As Jin says to Minshea that he was supposed to be his (the prince's) white knight but in the end did the same thing.
I think the auction was supposed to just be a clear cut under the radar thing in which the chosen person (Minshea) was supposed to win it without any issues. That's why Jin and Minshea are both wearing those headphones and Jin mentions (in a thought bubble?) that they need to "lie low". However they do gain Snake's attention (because Minshea was eying the prince during the whole 'fallen rose fiasco') and that's when the bidding war happens. You can see it happen when both Jin and Minshea have the same thought bubble saying 'he got his way again'.
The interesting bit is that Snake really didn't want the prince he wants something from Minshea (it seems they have a rivalry or something). So Minshea and Snake made a deal for Minshea to win the auction. It seems possession of the prince will pass to Snake (since he was planning on taking the prince by force if he didn't win) but in return the prince is to remain untouched. So I guess Minshea just wanted one night with him.
The strange bit is the price of the prince. Snake's guy says it was free but the terms were accepted. Minshea does mention to the prince about how his nation is going to be opened up. I'm expecting it was a trade treaty.
Does that help?
ohhh ok now i understand. Thank you!!
Is Snake Grandeur's brother?
Is it sad that I feel bad for the Emperor? He's been manipulated for years and he thought it was his elder brother and so he killed him. Yet, it turns out to be his beloved baby brother.
Which means he killed his elder brother for no real purpose. That everything he has been doing has been using him as a chess pawn through his ambitions and manipulation.

Seriously, in Tokyo Ghoul we rooted for the ghouls...well some we rooted for the Doves...
But here, we got to know and like and love some of the CCG guys...and now they are up against some ghouls I like... So who do I root for?
Some CCG guys I liked have already been killed. I feel so twisted up inside.
Kaneki, just root for Kaneki :)
I know, that's what makes me like this story so much! I really hope there is some resolve in the end, but it will probably be a very depressing one.
