Early on, someone posted spoilers about this recent scene between Lucia and Patricia, and I didn’t realize it would be so bluntly “here’s my sob story” “oh wow how terrible, I forgive you entirely because of pity and forget my hate.” Like, what 1-dimensional characters. This is such a dissapointment. This feels like a shoujo version of a slasher film, but instead of blood and gore for the sake of blood and gore, it’s abuse and emotional violence for no real plot value. There was no real reason or statement being made by brung up such extreme violence against any characters. I’m pretty sure I’m done since I know the dissapointing ending anyway. This is absolutely not romantic in anyway. There is no character development, just sob Stories and pity. I see no love

look at it this way
rosemund was born into a life of constant prostitution. she saw the very ugly side of humanity from a young age
her mother got murdered in front of her and her half brother raped her
shes lived a tragic life
this doesnt excuse her actions but it does put her into perspective why she acts the way she does
its not a sob story but an in depth look into rosemund as a person

you couldn't be any more wrong. patrizia is a beautiful soul who went through so much but is still capable of crying for a man who she hated beyond anything. lucio is, in no way, giving his story because he wanted her sympathy. heck, he didn't even understand why she was crying for him. he just wanted to explain his panic attacks because he was tired of being misunderstood by everyone and he believed she needed an explanation. it was patrizia's choice to pity him but that did not mean she forgave him. there's a flow and a buildup in the story and you're simply observing the process right now. if you think any of the characters are anything below 3-dimensional then i question whether we read the same story of not

Aaron and Alice definitely love each other, and OG nocturn never cared about either FL. This version Nocturn is intrigued by transmigrated duroa because he can’t read her? Does he think she only hung out with him because he asked (why he only calls her valrose) and that now the spell wore off or something? I feel like I missed something really important. It definitely feels like he doesn’t realize she wasn’t ever hypnotized. And why does he like her more in this life than in the last? Because she’s being sassy and unpredictable? Or because to him, she retained more personality in ,what he thought was, her hypnotized state? Or does he know she’s not hypnotized and just enjoyed that she still stuck with him and now he doesn’t know what changed? I’m SO confused.... like I can still read the story but I’m like.....really struggling lol
The novel is very well written so for people wanting more go check it out too! AND Don’t forget to support the official translation!
