The narrative was kinda clunky at the beginning but the romance is so fluffy and cute!?

The novel was difficult to start for me since it was so long, but after getting started with the manga, I finally binged all 2165 chapters and was kinda disappointed? Short spoiler below

So it starts with Ning xi avoiding traps set by her sister and other rivals in smart, character developing ways, but then they added this HUGE She used to be an assassin back story that....honestly could have easily just been a separate story from this and it was kinda terrible. I skipped over many of the chapters with the assassination plot and the story still made reasonable sense. The author also kinda neglected some characters and plots for this stupid assassin back story which they tie up with a bow in the end but overall, it wasn’t super worth the read. If it was just the girl being smart/outsmarting people and being a good person, that’s cool, but they made her a top tier assassin and there’s a character eventually who has legit SUPERNATURAL level Kung fu powers and is kinda just brought into the plot whenever they needed an OP person to solve all their issues. Like at least TX solved things in ways that made sense....

Overall none of the characters except muye develop in anyway, not once in like, all the fucking drama does TX ever show an ounce of being a human other than “being gentle around NX” he doesn’t even cry when she goes into a 13 month long coma like.... god I think someone wrote a detailed summary, read that before the full novel imo

Someone in this forum was able to read the novel [which is only available in korean] and answered a few people's questions about the future of the story and some such. Even before reading this, I really didn't think the ML was as terrible as everyone else in the comments is seemingly making him out to be? [not saying sob stories fix things 100% but I just didn't think he was that cold to her to start with....]

I really liked this story a lot and I hope the guy at least suffers.

I love this premise! Maybe she's a stalker, but she makes him feel human and sometimes your needs and relationship changes idk I hope they get together! It seems like, in the end, she's good for him mentally!

In one of the earlier chapters, the friend with long white hair says he wishes the ML could go back to the way there’s were previously, and the ML was shown with a woman similar to Chloe’s “Beatrice look” I wonder if he had a previous lover or if maybe he also reincarnated into the same life maybe? Did anyone else notice this?
