They spend just the wrong amount of time on romance vs plot to the point where I don’t remember what’s happening with the plot. It’s like every little romance arc makes such little actual progress. I feel like Michael regaining his memories was this arcs point but it didn’t advance the romance because he already loved her anyway at least the tournament arc had Michael recognized (҂`з´ ) potential homunclus king

I just reread the entire first story, go to chapter 94. Pretty much explains everything. The form god took LAST in the book was Jacob. Previously was Zachary. If it’s not Jacob I really can’t imagine who it is. Rereading the first story also helped shine some light on Alberta and Navara who actually did make some brief appearances each in the story.

Nothing says “get ready for unnecessary filler and bad story telling” like pushing what a horribly sad and lonely backstory childhood the protagonist had, only to open the new season with, “but surprise she actually had a loving brother that was never mentioned or foreshadowed who cared for her and she relied on!” This character feels poorly planned, and is poorly executed/introduced and has entirely turned me off to this story. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think it’s clear Melinda has some kind of mental issue because Desmond can actually read minds. This helped him gain power. So it’s possible all the people who helped with the experiment have some kind of memory loss when thinking about it, or speak in code, or artificial thoughts to avoid being mind read.
