This is literally "life's a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get." The story feels very real in terms of the character development and the plot - it explores mature themes and really packs a punch. It's almost too relatable and to me - that explains the low rating. I think the average reader wants fluff, fantasy and porn. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it but I'd rather they just stay broken up.

Is it me or did the story stop make sense during season three? I was all for the coup and wolfgang becoming king - even the murder plot made sense. Somehow I still managed to follow the story after Shin got abducted and tortured plus Wolfgang going on a pilgrimage to find magic. Okay, got that part BUT what the heck is up with them using magic to make a random baby from some desert witch? When did they start having sex - like did the author just throw the sex scene because fans wanted one? What's really going on? Did I miss something??? Why is everything so out of order??? Are they even together???WTF?
I had a best friend like Spencer. They would get pissed off if I spent time with other people, went out of their way to wreck relationships and lied to me so I'd stop talking to other people they didn't like. I just thought they were looking out for me and didn't realize til much later - its weird ass possessive shit. We never even dated! I never understood this type of controlling behavior. Like what do people get out of that? We aren't friends anymore because of how toxic it got. They even turned other people in our friend group against me. I had started to pull away from them and moved out of state, then all this weird drama started in my hometown. I made new friends but it sucks to lose friends....
