Im just referring to it as that since some of the comments I saw were using that as the term for the seme's experience and others couldnt tell if it was what it was which was, indeed, [ rape ]. Considering there's not a lot of changes since the 2010s and rape continues to be a cheap plot device used by many authors to segue couples into a relationship, Ive noticed bl readers do have a hard time reading the lines of some interactions even when its already written/drawn/implied in monologue and call it for what it is. It's not that deep, just a term. Are you okay, genuinely? We can continue the discussion without the attitude.

people use the term "reverse rape" from an outdated belief that only women can be raped, or only penetration from the aggressor is rape. or like I said, from porn.

I do acknowledge that rape is a real thing regardless of genders and abhor it still being a part of a lot of bls especially when its not handled properly in the narrative or isnt actually necessary for the plot to move. If you go back to Chapter 1 page 20, the scanlation translator left a comment on the bottom right of the panel stating that the initial text used when the seme was talking about his rape was using the term 'reverse rape' which they called BS and I initially read that as them not acknowledging that the seme was raped which is what I referred to as 'being weird'. Like, what he experienced indeed was rape and I call bull on anyone who doesnt acknowledge that. Whether I understood the translator's comment in the right context or misconstrued it, I never thought to invalidate the experience nor was I thinking of it as not being real or thinking in a gooner mindset that it cant be raped cuz men cant be raped or only women get raped, you've allowed yourself to reach that conclusion. I do unfortunately know some shit, I have had the displeasure of almost experiencing that from men as a child and I have male and female friends who have had to go through that and I am devastated for them.

Secondly, I dont know why youre going off on me, your third paragraph is a whole spiel of what my reply to you was. I know the ML was raped. Period. I am not confused the way you're lumping me with the other commentors. If my initial reply didnt make sense, I expressed that a lot of the commentors under this story are confused with scenarios like what the ML went through just because he wasnt the one penetrated and felt good. I expressed frustration how rape is still being used as a plot device and how a lot of readers dont pick up on it being rape even when its implied, drawn, spoken in monologue in the page just cuz the word 'feeling good' or the character was cumming was being thrown in.

- Rape IS bad
- I dislike it being used as a plot device for this story and other works of BL
- If I understood correctly the translator's words in chapter one to that of "haha they werent actually raped thats BS" then my response to that is NO, that's a stupid thing to say. ML was clearly raped, that's nothing to mock about.
- If I misunderstood it wrong and translator meant to say "cant believe they used the term reverse rape to call what ML went through, that's BS", my response would be HELL YEAH IT IS BS. We shouldnt be down playing what he went through.
- Please chill the fuck down, Im not reading into all this with your definition of reverse rape and dont agree to what the term stands for in your definition because thats a fucked up view of who is getting raped or not. Im viewing it as the non-penetration way that the ML experienced since he's the one who penetrated although it was not of his consent.
- Im miffed the other readers are confused and trying to convey that there hasnt been a lot of plot device change since the 2010s seeing as I still read a lot of BL from that time to now with authors using BL as a way for a couple to connect and make a relationship which I find is a terrible way to start off and wish rape would be used less for a lot of stories that end up being light hearted or feel good.
- Lastly, "its just a term" is me referring to reverse rape in the context of ((non-consensual sex in that the victim was the one being forced to fuck someone and was not the one being penetrated re: the ML's situation)) and not your context of ((only women can be raped, no way men can be raped, etc.))

I get what you're saying, yeah 27 was cute and all since the anthology portrayed mostly innocent or light hearted feel good crushes but that end note rly crushed that lol im not sure about what youre saying for 26 though cuz it was already cheating haha. The story was subtle but not subtle enough, even if it wasnt shown that they were actively or physically cheating, there was already emotional cheating esp on the employee that disclosed his feelings regardless of drunkenness. Even the author note also stated the obvious: a boss and employee with feelings for each other. I guess it depends what hard line and tolerance you have for cheating but on my books this one was not it. The art's nice tho. To each our own, I guess ╮(￣▽￣)╭
