I've got this bad feeling that Yuno from here on out will be darker and more willing to kill. Yuno is the first to see and truly face death. Besides having to work his ass off Asta's journey hasn't been this dark. I can see Yuno being appointed interim captain till William is brought back. I feel so bad for Yuno because they didn't stand a chance. If not for the last second spell from William they'd all be dead. I know that when Asta's group gets attacked they at least have a fighting chance. I'm even doubting they'll suffer a single death.

Why does so many hate Yuno? It feels like when he finally gets screen time (he has so little), or any development (which he is finally getting), there's so much negativity towards him. Asta and Yuno are supposed to be equals. With how little screen time Yuno gets he has to be special or he's be forgotten. Also he is Asta's rival an inspiration to get stronger, and vice versa. They make each other better and stronger. They both share the same confidence and same drive to be the best. So again what's with all of the Yuno hate? He's not like Sauke that did all kinds of evil, but he didn't get this level of hate. I just don't get it.

That's a contradiction. You think Yuno's side needs to be seen but you care more for Asta. Which to me sounds like you could care less is Yuno is ever seen. That if he just disappears it'd be ok. I'm a Yuno fan and I like Asta, but I feel like a very VERY small group that actually cares about him. We know 100% about Asta's journey and like maybe 5% of Yuno's.
I guess I'm just a Yuno fan that's just tired of all of the Yuno bashing, and not getting to see him much. I get excited when I finally get to see him. Than in the comments I get sad because all of the Yuno hate. It's very rear that I see any Yuno support. It just frustrates me.

of course Asta's screen time in this manga or in the anime is high because he's the main character and we all know that this manga is focused on the main protagonist's adventures, stories, etc. of course sometimes we get some side stories about other character that are important in the story and that's normal because they need some screen time too and to understand why they're doing this doing that, to learn about their past, etc. It's the basic story format most of the people know.
I think some other people like me just wants the main protagonist to be in the fight were the other character are in because I want the main to help them in the fight, or it's just me.......(≧∀≦)

Yeah I completely agree with you. Like whever Yuno gets some panal time I usually skip reading the comment sections because I don't want my good feelings of FINALLY seeing him to be trampled by some hate for him that I don't see where it's coming from. But I'm glad I did this time to see some Yuno love!!

I don't think that they hate him. they're just not used to a long story about him
The reason why he isn't shown much is that he is a magic genius chosen by a sylph and given elf power too and his training won't be something special (just probably a little stamina training). He is astas rival, but not our main
And in my opinion he had a lot of screen time ... especially in this whole 'third eye of the midnightsun(?)' thingy. He fought against them together with asta. So i think that people wanted to see more of astas training now, because his training is just different compared to those with mana

Man Yuno is going thought hell right now. Most of his new friends/family is dead and died in front of him. His squad is no more and he's on deaths door. Asta hasn't had it this bad, like ever.

Yeah but no one died, he got backup to take the villain out, and his life wasn't this close to death. In the end his arms were cursed but no one died. Asta hasn't had to watch any friends die. None of the Bull's have died. I'm just hoping that there's enough members of the Dawn still alive to still be a squad and Yuno live.

I don't know who is dead anymore with all the disney 'deaths' in this manga, unlike demonslayer(*shudders* sheds a tear) so I'm not writing golden dawn off yet.
Anyway in answer to your question, Yuno does train and all but things come too damn easy for him and folks want to see him understand the struggle poor Asta goes thru while being taken down a peg. Crap, he is already vice captain for godsakes, Asta is really getting left behind in the race for merit and ultimately magic emperor.

Asta has been fighting through despair is whole life basically, then you have yuno whose been perfect at almost everything he do. The last time it seemed that yuno lost was basically in his fight with Mars before he got Bell. But even then that fight was just to make him more powerful. Same with the fight with that witch. Asta has been through more than yuno. He literally had to fight the third eye, and repeatedly had his weakness slammed in his face over and over again. This is the first time yuno actually faught someone super strong and acted tasted defeat, not counting the devil since everyone was basically there. Even then at the fight with the demon you had Yuno who was granted tons of new strength while asta basically had to look behind as everyone he knows got stronger

We know nothing of Yuno's time with his squad or how heard he has worked. He has gotten so little screen time and until now no development. This manga is suppose to be about both of them, but when Yuno finally gets some screen time most people are hateing on him. I just don't understand. I know if Yuno wasn't special he'd be overlooked or forgotten (because of how little time he gets). If he wasn't like he is Asta wouldn't have a strong rival to compete with from the start. They make each other better and stronger. So why all of the Yuno hate?

I dont hate Yuno at all, in all honesty I feel very conflicted about this last chapter . I think its alittle refreshing to see him lose something for a chance, cause loss is what allows a character to develop more. But at the same some I'm super sad about it. I legit cant wait for the next chapter cause I highly doubt he's going to die. And about the things I said up there, ik we know not about the things he had to experience cause it was off screen, but I'm certain that they cant hold a candle against the things asta went through, that's why they weren't shown. I think having what just happened to Yuno is a good thing, cause we all know he just has that basic op rival mentality that just allows him to keep getting power without actually experiencing any troubles. He hasn't had any character growth since he was shown. This breaks that and allow an actual character growth to take place.

He had countless chances over the years. He cheated with who knows how many and didn't give a damn about STI's that he would be spreading around. He neglected his lover, abused him, raped him, and cheated on him. When he finally noticed something was off he thought, oh cheating you bastard and hurt him. Not oh how are you you don't look so good. He only wanted to keep him or possess him. Now that he found out that his lover is dieing he cares. Now he wants to make things right. Now he wants to come he loves him to outsiders.
Now he has found out everything his lover was going through alone and what he was doing to him during this time. He now feels regret for his actions. Now he finally gets a taste of the suffering, he thinks he came make up for it by just apologising, and trying to start over now. He had years to fix it, but now it's to little too late. Karma had come a knocking. His brother is pissed over how he treated his lover.
I happy the uke is with the doctor. He's getting the love and care he needs. Just pure love and affection. Gentle words and touches. No excuses or abuse. Being cherished not neglected. The doctor is a good guy. I don't blame him for being hateful to the ex, he deserves it. Because of the ex he felt completely worthless and useless.

Ok so, does anyone else think that there's something lurking in Yuno? That left eye of his while in spirit dive, sense fighting with the word devil, has been darker than the right eye. Like did his elf half go dark before it was stripped from him? Or is there something else or something new in him? I'm just curious. I'm just excited to see more of Yuno.

Hmm he would have to experience deep despair to go dark like that though...also the elf spirit that possessed him was an unborm baby without identity awareness so I think it is unlikely BUT you are right in that he hella leveled up and it shows. Everyone pushed themselves too far and too fast and there may be a physical backlash

It is a moot point since the baby's consciousness already left Yuno several chapters ago as did every elf consciousness with the exception of rya/liar whose body didn't have another consciousness and patry who actually inhabits licht's body clone. At the time the baby consciousness left Yuno there would have been no reason for deep despair even if it could feel that emotion. I wonder if humans could turn dark too though...the evil guy didn't try to turn the first wizard king, so maybe not. In any case when an elf with a 4 leaf grimoire turns dark the grimoire and magic they use changes too. Just look for changes in Yuno's grimoire.
Why is that kid trying to kill him?
