But there she is, saying she loves an assassin, an orphaned man raised by prostitutes, and with not background at all.
You can say all you want about Shinpei and his obsession with Satoko but you can see he'll do anything and everything for her. He'd probably kill himself if Satoko has to get married with another man...after maybe suggesting a double suicide, or trying to kill the other man but not my point ( ̄∇ ̄") because doing all that would make Satoko hate him and he would pretty much prefer dying than she hating him (basing all this in pretty much my analysis and opinion lol).
This bitch of a bodyguard doesn't care. He just doesn't. The only reason he'd put up with Satoko marrying someone else is if that man is from high status. Then he can say "yeah, that's how it is, i had these feelings but she'd never notice me bcs i'm not worthy". To make himself feel better. That's all there is to him.
So when Shinpei comes into the picture he can't help but being a bitch, bcs he's getting what he wants, when Shinpei is supposed to be nothing but trash.
Inferiority complex, pettiness at not being chosen, the list can go on.

The goal of the game is actually to "wake up the rest of the players and escape together". Bada tried it a couple times before but everyone was either doubtful, irrational or like before accused him of being the cause of it all and killing him, so he ended up giving up on the idea because of all his failed attempts and he remained the only one "awake" until he ran into Psycho-Nice-Guy (who may or may not be the actual 'first' to awake--) which would make sense if he WAS the first to awake because when the 3rd guy [Mr. Brainless] had woke up, the way he did was by entering a cassette tape into the radio which is the first scene!! But we all know the Psycho-Nice-Guy has always been the driver and always been in the front seat, so it would make even more sense that in one of the turns or the FIRST turn when someone asked to "put some music on" or to "turn on the radio" or even "i found this cassette or I have a cassette put this in!!" the first one to do so would be the Nice-Guy-Multi-Talented-Leader-Figure who can and would very well put in the cassette "FIRST" thus saving his gameplay.
The 3rd guy Mr Brainless had only completely awoken after Psycho Nice Guy LET him save his game which was before he witnessed his crush murdered and then for the second time letting him save his game after which contributed to his "test" that he wanted to try out~.
While unknowing in the first turn that Psycho Nice Guy was awake-- Bada in the same turn found a cassette and "saved the game" thus starting the regression cycle and they both continued to play the game in their own individual states until the law of probability finally matched the two up together by Bada witnessing Nice Guy kill someone so calmly. Keep in mind Nice Guy from the beginning and as well as before the game was always a sociopath so his calm, cool and collected rationale was always the same from start to finish but it's now being advertised now that they are in a never-ending game. Bada had to gain his rationale through time collected.
Everything began to work differently because Psycho Nice Guy decided to not follow the script and also Bada and him acting extremely close to one another in front of everone changed the endings~ So from now on with Mr Brainless in the mix the rest of them will now either probably find cassette tapes on their own and save the game OR will be convinced to and save the game through the influence of the "woke" players~~~

for the others if they are also initially players, then Jae-Seob and Bae Hyungshin that have the soon-to-be lovers trope and seems to have their feelings for each other wired into their character design as seen when BH tried to caution/prevents the other and SB killing Bada & Doha when BH died; its too much of a coincidence if they are also lovers in real life (1)
there is also the possibility that Doha has an attribute trait that enables him to cause real damage to NPCs because of his personality (? designated character) while Bada's trait/character design could be a quick to notice but silent know it all or the information gatherer; more intelligence or something similar but has a "not enough strength to kill" or "cannot kill people" attribute (2)

The killing of the random villager in the first chapter despite not being "awoken" could be him stopping Bada from achieving the ‘true’ ending he needed. I honestly think just like how the blue haired ‘good natured idiot’ started to awaken despite not using a cassette player, instead the love of his life died and he became distraught. I think something similar happened to Doha with Bada but Bada doesn’t remember because he died before he could save the game. This could explain Doha's obsessive focus on Bada.
I really think he was just pretending to be a player and was very careful about going off script UNTIL bada went off script first cuz he smirked when Bada snapped on him. That’s how he confirmed that bada was a player after the 18-19th game because he felt bada acting differently compared to other games. Bada previously mentioned that his moral compass was ’broken’ but I personally don’t believe he had one in the first place as he has disregard for everyone’s life, this also goes with why he keeps telling the other NPC’s/Players to do things that raises a death flag.
I also believe he plays a bigger role to bada than we realize. As far as we know, he can kill the murder and Bada “can’t”, as in the killer resurrects (this also makes me believe that Bada is the only NPC while the rest are players). Bada also mentions that when he went around telling the others that they were in a video game, Doha simply ignored him, maybe hes a player character but doesn’t want Bada to know because he doesn’t want to be separated from him as they’ll never be able to find each other again if they finish the game. He also “discovered” a hidden cassette player but it was on top of a high cabinet so how did he see it? Also in the panel it looks like he’s breaking the 4th wall, instead of looking at the cassette player he’s looking at the readers, but I don’t know if that’s on purpose by the author or not. Also him putting a tape into the black cassette unlocked the house where the family was murdered, very interesting since after the torture mission they saw a newspaper clipping of the house and the house has those black cassettes instead of the white one Bada uses.
Bada is also obviously an unreliable narrator as we’re only seeing the game from his perspective so some of the things Doha told him could be straight up lies, i personally don’t believe the story he told Bada when he killed the second murder before they had sex because no one raised a death flag, unless Doha being alone was the death flag, and we never get to see how Doha dies to reset the game. Also notice how the killer NEVER targets Doha. Suspicious.
TLDR: Doha is suspicious and probably is secretly sabotaging Bada
I jump around a lot but I SWEAR this makes sense to me guys, I SWEAR!!!

They also dive into the topic of homophobia in such a realistic way and so many manhwas don't do that. Like when they said "he never has to hide who he loves because he is straight" and also the flashback. It makes me hope that jaehyuk is going to have a big turn around and become an actual good person because what would be the point of bringing in gay issues if you are going to have him end up with a homophobic asshole.
[Sorry I went on a bit of a rant, but please tell me if you have similar thoughts. I feel like there's so much I need to discuss about this manhwa ]

The past stories are a treasure, and the evolving art style is praiseworthy. But what stands out the most is the way Siyun's character is portrayed. Despite the immense challenges he faces, the depiction of his struggles with mental instability—excessive anxiety, overthinking, a pessimistic outlook on life, and resorting to violence—is both realistic and poignant.
Let's be honest; Siyun's character can be draining, but that's what makes this story so compelling. The main characters, are perfectly matched to be each other's partners. The story's realism shines through as it explores the challenges of maintaining open communication, even when Siyun is taking medication. It vividly illustrates how mental health can impact an individual as profoundly as physical health.
Ugh I'm kind of regretting now that I devoured the entire manhwa in just two days; it was that captivating. I inadvertently became hyperfixated, and that's a testament to the sheer brilliance of this work
Well, now I'm left with a cliffhanger syndrome.
