started off okay. i didn't like it from the beginning lol. further... further on... the story.. the characters... they fell apart. into pieces. there's a lot of issues but my main gripe is when they met satoi, masachika's previous partner. let's start from the beginning though.-
part 1: plot device
after some weird noncon stuff, seiji asks why masachika doesn't like pair accessories and masachika says that he doesn't like collars and bangles because it's restrictive and traumatic. valid! seiji responds, respectfully, "okay let's not buy them then." and then they didn't! yippee. well, that's done, time to move on. BUT, the NEXT MORNING, masachika says, a smile on his face, "i changed my mind! yeah lets go get pair accessories!!!!!" HAHAHA WHAT? atp i'm weirded out. none of this makes sense, when most of this manga has been fine so far. i keep reading though, because sometimes after stuff like this it gets better. okay back to the story: they buy pair accessories. conveniently while they're walking, they meet the SOURCE of masachika's trauma, satoi!
part 2: satoi
satoi notices their accessories, and "congratulates" them (because masachika never liked accessories). masachika, scared, tells satoi to fuck off! yes king! but while they yell at eachother, where is seiji? idk he is literally STANDING, WATCHING. seiji hasn't said a WORD yet. anyway, after satoi is inches away from masachika's face, seiji FINALLY steps in. the two sadists argue, and masachika pulls him away. while they leave, satoi slips his number into seiji's pocket, and tells seiji that "he'll teach him something nice"
masachika asks what satoi said to him, and upon hearing what satoi said, masachika is rightfully worried, and tells seiji that HE is why he wants a soft S. seiji decides to meet up with him anyway.
while seiji is gone, masachika is RIGHTFULLY worried satoi is going to plant some weird-ahh ideas into seiji's head. satoi then proceeds to plant some weird-ahh ideas into seiji's head! and seme comes back and rapes masachika! YIPPEE I'M SO HAPPY. (i'm fucking puking)
okay, sorry, i skipped a bunch of stuff. when they meet up, seiji asks SATOI, let me REPEAT, masachika's EX PARTNER and SOURCE of his TRAUMA, what he did with masachika during their sessions, "as reference" so he knows what he shouldn't do with masachika during their relationship. do i need to explain why this is super stupid? DO I REALLY NEED TO?????
satoi complies because "seiji's interesting."
satoi says that he controls his partners using anxiety, because that's how to make his partner's think of him 24/7. seiji responds, "won't that literally destroy them tho?" and satoi, this fucking asshole, says that "i thought he could handle it. but he couldn't, so i had to get more partners." can we sit on that for a minute? he's literally justifying destroying masachika's mental health and having multiple partners because "masachika couldn't handle him." . wtf?
let's move on to the worst part of this conversation. at the beginning of this chapter, it's in seiji's point of view, and he talks about wanting to mess masachika up and his built up urges. at first, i THOUGHT that was pretty hot. i THOUGHT this might be a chapter where seiji and masachika talk about seiji not being able to suppress himself, and their sessions might develop further.. consensually :) satoi tells seiji that "you've been restraining your urges right? that's unhealthy. your relationship is going to fall apart if you don't do something." and i THOUGHT, satoi was saying to seiji to talk it out with masachika. i THOUGHT he was onto something. an antagonist onto something in a bl? good stuff!!!
part 3: i want to cry
but no.
seiji comes home.
masachika is rolling on the floor, being a cutie, thinking about how good seiji is. "i like seiji. he's peaceful like the shade beneath a tree, yet intense like a storm"
seiji is smiling. their conversation must've gone well. masachika welcomes him home.
seme grabs masachika by the wrist, and drags him to the bed. he pushes masachika onto the bed and locks his wrists to the bed frame.
NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
part 4: wtf?
seiji has masachika locked up and chained and pushes something inside masachika. masachika is crying, sobbing, having ptsd!!
seiji explains: i've been holding back all this time... i wanted to show you my true nature so you'd dump me
masachika is like: aaww (stops crying) i didn't know that let's all be happy now!
what.? sorry... what? HAHA what? haha WTF???
