pov as a writer who reads a lot of toxic $hit:
version 1 - and is most likely in my opinion
- general somehow convinces mc to zoom away
- (potentially kidnap him away but like "nicely(?)"
- cp goes oh no where he(mc) at and initially is like idgaf but then he goes but "i need me sum mc" like a dumba$$
- and cp manhunts for mc and locks him up for sure and tells him not to leave and stuff
- toxic happy ever after

version 2 - very unlikely but favored by many
- general convinces mc to run away
- cp dont care at first again but feels like he needs mc so orders a manhunt again
- general quits his job and is on the run with mc for their happily ever after

[though somewhere in the future i think general will either be heavily locked up or killed. not too sure though because it would put the mc in a more helpless situation and maybe thats what the author is going for

I wonder how this is all gonna end.

Either the author has no idea where to take this or they arent planning to have this be a happy ending. Imo trying to make a happy ending with this sort of "development" is gonna be awkward or at the very least extremely warped.
