The novel is true to the manga but reading it vs seeming drawn seems hits different. And I actually don’t like to see him take joy in her downfall (not that I liked it in the novel). I don’t like see him rape her and her become confused and fall for her abuser…………… I am excited to see the daughter, I’m curious to see the coworkers and the places she runs too, as well as the train seen and the movie theater seen. I’m not at all excited to see them get together and for her to forgive him bc he seems like a “changed ma” no babe he’s not different you just haven’t seen him in years so you forgot………

I just…. I will say that compared to other stories I’ve read the rape in this one seems……….. (ew) I don’t want to say justifiable but (ughhhhhhh) in a way it is bc of the war setting and her being a spy. I just wish she had ended up happy and with someone who wasn’t that man

Maybe the ending and the scenes along the way will be different compared to the novel, authors have done that before

If someone treated me the exact same way my uncle did (and worse imo (disposable and as a sex doll) and on top of that betrayed my trust I would’ve jumped off a boat too.

And when the MC comes out of the water and feels better I hope he runs. And keeps running, I hope he saves himself, my decent ending would be the MC on a journey of self love and healing.

Alas……………….. we all no that won’t be the fvcking ending. I actually hate hate hate the ML and his fvcking audacity and dumbas* thinking and logic SO NO AUTHORS (whom I love don’t stop evoking emotion and creating art) I WONT GIVE THE ML THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. Seriously the man should cry everyday and self reflect and beg on his knees for months and years and also never be able to be happy with the MC bc he doesn’t deserve him after everything he put him throw and the trauma he added to his life. It’s just so fvcked.

4/5 so far bc the emotion and the way I’m hooked is what I’ve been craving but not a 5/5 bc the ml isn’t redeemable

Yea I just can’t. The time jump fvcked up the vibe and now we are suddenly in a war where her life is also tied to the end of the world?? I just feel like we lost the plot and stitched a new one

Ummm maybe I’m the only one but I felt like that was a random spot to jump 5yrs. I mean all that angst and anticipation building. A story about if they grew more distant or if they patched things up and grew closer…. Like we got nothing. I’m just a little lost and confused on why that just happened

After finishing the flashbacks of the first life I just had to go back and reread the first few chapters and see the first meetings and more. YOOOO this hits sooo different knowing the first life. Like wow I love this story!!!!

This is an adorable story, not tlike the ones I usually read. It’s light hearted and still has a nice plot. The problem I personally had is that the villains in the story just… died. I mean seriously. Death is such an easy way out. They deserved suffering and sht. I love the happy ending duh, but UGHHHH he literally just died. I mean not even one of the side character villains whose names were mentioned like twice even had to suffer. Or the family UGHHH they deserved some serious jail time and suffering but no…. Just immediate death. Boooooo!!!

Really though, such a cute story
