i said im not gonna see the FL in a negative light just bc we’re seeing things from his perspective alone in that chapter. you’re seeing his emotions in that chapter and so you empathize with him and pity him and bc the cause of his emotional state is the FL (even tho all she did was just go out with a friend that turned out to be a guy and the rest he assumed on his own) you see the FL as the antagonist when there is no “right” or “wrong” character here in this story. both are human with human flaws. you see his emotional instability and mental instability as “omg poor baby” without realizing just bc the FL helped him out at the start does not mean she’s meant to fix him or serve as his emotional support pet. There are misunderstandings and miscommunication issues from both their ends.
