They go to war, the next thing in the original work is that og Edith helps her family to get into the house by unlocking doors and putting people to sleep with incense. Therefore, MC Edith is trying to stop that, and while checking the house, she notices that someone is unlocking the doors and I think they also left sleepy incense around the house (someone was communicating with the Rigelhof and helping them). Edith succeeds with securing the house.

So the next plan of the Rigelhof was to kidnap them on their way back from a party which they succeed). While kidnapped Edith is tortured by that maid, when the maid is gone, she convinced 2 mercenaries to leave since Cliff soon will arrive to save them, they loose her rope and flee, Cliff arrives to save everyone and capture their enemies, because he was only worried about Rize and his mother he doesn't check every corner of the hide out leaving Edith behind (Rize also had something to do with it).

Edith wakes up cold all beaten up and notice that she was not rescued , she starts to think that Cliff did not find her or he did and decided to leave her, she thought it was the latter because Rize knew she was there with them. She manage to escape that place and starts to put into place the plan where she leaves to a place where no one could find her and be able to see Killian from afar.

When Killian heard that it was the maid who told them Edith was not there, he set off to that place.

Killian took it back and gave him some coins for it, the man did not want to accept it but I think at the end he did.
