Look, for people saying ilay doesn’t actually have feelings for Tay and only cares about owning him should really go back to the 50’s and 60’s chapters, where ilay had a lot of firsts with tay, he’s the most patient with him, and the first time he did aftercare was with him and when he didn’t do the best job there was a pang in his heart. And after Tay left the words Tay said were I hate you, and ilay after that kept thinking did he really despise me. Now I am by no means justifying his behaviour, but this owning him thing is another antic of his to ensure that the case of tays departure doesn’t occur, it’s not that he doesn’t have feelings for him, he definitely does, but this is his first time so he does not know, and honestly I think it’s time for ilay to have a jealousy trope because if in a place/time he has to act rationally yet jealousy gets in his way, he’ll realise his feelings, again ilay is wrong, rape is too justified by yaoi mangas, I was just explaining why the statement “He doesn’t love him, only wants to own him” is wrong

I mean, first he was curious about him, then he liked his company from the beginning, he even told him his name right away. Then, he became obsessed. I am not denying that Tay is special for him, but I am questioning if he likes him as a partner and not as something he just wants to assert dominance and propriety over.
He may be overwhelmed by new experiences and feelings, but at the moment, his desire of ownership prevails over his blossoming love for Tay.

Th ownership thing started 4 or so chapters ago, I genuinely believe that that's not the case and only an antic, tay would never stay with ilay if ownership is what ilay desired, because tays boyfriend before whats-his-name wanted possession, remember tay realising that he didn't want to spend time with tay, he wanted to own all of tays time and he broke up with him immediately, Moreover no matter how powerful ilay is there is a limit to his power, and tay has an incredibly talented brother that in the modern world is more powerful than ilay, therefore if the ownership thing was really the case then the story would play out with jay helping tay escape, and lets be honest that's not what any of the viewers want, it's just the authors way of depicting ilays rollercoaster of an understanding of love and to add spice and confusion for the readers, after all the two main leads hadn't been together for several chapters and there was such big tension around their meeting, so the author had their work cut out, if it was too gruesome it would be bad, ilay's weird reaction needed to be justified by him in some way, because he didn't want to lose tay

GUYS CAN I JUST SAY THAT THIS STORY IS SOOOO WELL DEVELOPED LIKE I WAS READING THE BEGNING FEW CHAPTERS AND LITERALLY THE SMALLEST OF DETAILS ADD UP TO THE NEW CHAPTERS, RARE ARE THE AUTHORS WHO CAN DRAW AND WRITE WELL, AND MOREOVER KNOW WHAT THE AUDIENCE WANTS WHILE GIVING A FRESH TOUCH. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT TOXIC ML'S ARE THE SHIT THAT EVERYONE READ, WE NEED MORE AUTHORS LIKE THIS ISTG

For those who are unsure who's the male lead here's what I think
Jude---- the author will kill themselves before considering jude (also i'm pretty sure he'll have limited appearances and those that he does have will be ''the nice supportive senior'' or if he gets his own love interest
Wolfie (cedric) is out
my dude made two appearances and was never even mentioned again i'm pretty sure he'll pop up in the future confess his love and get flat out rejected and be fine just being near him or just knowing that maythans happy, and if there is ever a side story regarding his sister he'll show up.
Now for the Duke And prince
The only recently came in the picture-- sure they met in their childhood and left gifts for him and stuff but for the better part of the story he didn't appear. He's a complete douche bag but we need to think like a manga author and we all know they love red flags. I think he'll be the male lead as they have had physical contact and have A LOT of sexual tension that our bottom seems to hate (but he'll probz become fond of it later). I thought the prince would be the ml for the better part of the story since he appeared the most out of the three, has the childhood arc, the rich arc, the rose tinted glasses arc. However our bottom is only getting annoyed of him and not engaging him like he does with the dukes ''annoying'' behaviour. Which the author probz thinks is their ''chemistry''. Therefore duke is the most likely is the ml (prince still has a pretty good chance still)
P.s: I really like the prince personally so I hope he's the ml afterall
I think that the princess will say no to Theon, she wouldn’t get confused, remember how she handled Ethan’s confession? And Ik that it really isn’t the same and everything since she was obsessed with Theon but I think she’s come to realise that she only loved the thought of Theon not Theon himself, while her jealousy will probably make her favour Ethan since she always knew how she felt with Theon but not with Ethan since those feelings are new, I think she’ll be direct, although she’s been a bit npc like the few chapters she’s a critical thinker. Now that she has her new family and sees her brother who was always there for her and rooted for her silently in a diff light I think she appreciates loyalty more than anything bc, moreover Ethan and her have so much in common, and they’ve known each other at their worst and best, Ethan is loyal, in love, willing to change, everything the princess wanted to be in the first few chapters. Ethan learns from her and he was her original inspiration.
Sorry for ranting
