I'm not saying he is a bad character. Grid is unique in his own way, but it's kinda frustrating to see other characters get pushed around and be in dangerous situations because of him. I just find it hard to read about a selfish character without stopping every second or so to curse them. Other people may like it, but in my opinion, it's overdone.

Do you know God Grid? Grid has one of the biggest and best all-around character development. Leadership, personality, and gaming skill. Idk how far you've read but it's because he is such an asshole in the beginning that you get to love his character as the novel progresses.

I definitely agree with this. You should really give Grid a chance. He's a character that has the biggest and best all-around character development. It's also very realistic. Overtime, even though it's slow because of his lack of talent, he changed 180° by erasing his flaws 1 by 1. He's trying very hard, his effort to change for the better as a character and in real life is astonishing.
