I think one of the reasons why Lee Won did that was that if he will die Caesar will also have the same fate. If ever that Caesar wasn't able to beat Leonid, they will both die. At the same time, it might as a revenge to Dimitry who most likely the one who made a request to kill him. Since he cannot ask to kill the former client, what would be the most painful thing to Caesar's fan?
