uhm, I don't know what to feel about this. I'm a hater of rape no matter the circumstances and I can't disregard the fact that the seme raped the uke. I know he already apologized but rape is rape (like the uke said) and I kinda hope for more redemption or chasing arc. anyway, the last chapter is good, the uke is so cuteeeee （/TДT)/ I just want to hug him (with consent) he's so cute I'm gonna die. I hope he can overcome his insecurities. I'm looking forward to the seme's character development. I just want my baby rihito to be happy without him or with him
I by no means condone rape... I most definitely hate it, but the way I understood it, when they, as a fated pair met, the alpha suddenly went into a rut, and uke also seemed to be under the influence of something like a heat. And we all know that in these omegaverse stories ruts and heats are pretty much irresistible, so it was basically unavoidable that they did the deed, even if it was mostly the seme who went at it.
While in rl rape has no excuses at all, in omegaverse it's more iffy to put the blame on the alpha? But Yeah, any trauma a victim gets is still valid. Just wanted to put my own two cents into this

I agree with you and it’s so tiresome how omegaverse stories rely on heat cycles to force rape plots, but in this particular story I felt like the author showed that both characters in that moment did it without thought or self control. The moment they meet, Rihito actually reaches out for Shirou and continues to hold him close for the entire encounter, even licking his ear at some point.
Neither character consented to the act and I know in many cases it’s easy to blame the alpha, but their first encounter is represented in a way that actually shows the omega actively reciprocating if not outright encouraging it. We have no way of knowing who started kissing who but I think it’s safe to assume that the author showed Rihito’s outstretched hand for a reason.
This is not to say that Rihito is to blame either. He obviously didn’t know he was in heat or an omega at all. But Shirou was also known to be struggling with medication prior to their meeting. It was an unfortunate moment and shows how unfortunately violent “fate” is to both characters.
