I don't get why people pretend to be rich like it'd be so easy if u just pretended to be broke don't wanna go somewhere say oh I'm broke can't go or say ur parents are strict pretending to be rich is so much effort
because most people do not want to pretend to be 'weak'--they want to be seen as 'equal' or better 'stronger' that way the society won't pick on you/treat you negatively--and within the society poor=weak, is simple as that.
Pride is a sign of power so in the end it's back to that power dynamic again. Doesn't matter if you or I or thousands of ppl feel comfortable within poor/broke state, being rich is in fact gives you more privileges, comfort, pride, etc. hence power/positive things than being poor & that's usually what ppl like sangwoo want to have.

Isn't that illegal? Im pretty sure pretending to be poor to get things for free is illegal? Like I've heard of people pretending to be homeless for free food, clothes and money and they get charged. Or that could just be in the country I live in haha.

I know a person who is rich but pretend to be not, they even sometimes shoplift (as a matter of fact they have an expensive car for f's sake) what's the point? Y'all ain't empathetic at all a 20 something year old young man suddenly has the responsibilities of taking care of a 10 year old child it's deffo not easy especially at the time where they're approaching teen years it was hard for him too life isn't as easy as it seems at the end of the day he was provided for my mum would leave me with my baby brother ever since I was 5 as my dad was in another country so a single mum house and she had to work extra jobs to provide for us Jessi has been a trouble maker and Ik it's due to the lack of affection Joel gave him but this type of thing is extremely hard to come to terms with especially since Jessi's mum Joel's ex lover died then straight after got a 10 year old kid common guys I'm not tryna justify neglect which I think is a bit of a stretch but u have too think of Joel's side as the author has pretty much portrayed him through Jessi's pov as a trash guy but again this is Jessi's pov let's try to think of both sides I pity both of them and am happy they fixed up their relationship by realising what would happen if they lost each other

I think the reason u can't kill the Mohr cuz in that world when magic was destroyed it returned to the lands to the atmosphere but the nature of the nohrs magic is chaos and plague so if returned potential diseases and natural disasters would continuosly occur due to the intensity of the magic and the evil intentions of the user

XD And that delusional doctor only told Hugh lies that he can only have a child only if his partner has to be a virgin and has to consume his blood (or the other way around) or something, then Hugh has to pop her cherry and she still has to drink his blood until they could conceive. (Man, I have to reread. XD)The doctor never mentioned the mugwort (the plant) in fear that Hugh would most likely burn all of the mugwort in the world and spoil the doctor’s plan of continuing the Taran bloodline (spoilers:through Damian and the baby girl Hugh will have.
