I agree. He didn't change. First, even before the "heroine" finally came into this world he terrified Tia and screamed at her until she fainted. That is, for me, proof enough that he still has that horrible personality of the previous time-line and that the only thing changing is Tia's actions to keep him away from her (it will happen a bit after the coronation ceremony so in maybe 25-30 chapters?). Then, despite reading a letter addressed to Tia by green-haired boy (who at this point have been told by Tia the real reason she want to break off the engagement) and finally acknowledging what an ass is and is perceived to be he don't try to proactively change other's point of view about him nor does he try to better himself. He doesn't even try to understand Tia better if I recall.

I didnt read the novel myself but i took a look at a forum, so she ends up with the prince in the end and the author got a huge backlash because of this and then wrote a novel from the prince's perspective and it really does turn out to be a selfish perspective so right now I'm just hoping that the webtoon takes a different route since its not too late yet
also, before the time travel (or whatever you call it) after mc was lynched the empress couldnt do what she needed to and the empire collapsed. while this was happening the prince always compared the empress to mc and said she was bad (or something) compared to mc. then also, if i remember correctly the dad was actually never killed but it was just that the prince wanted to see mc in a pathetic(?) situation and wanted her to beg to him (i dont remember this part very much, the poster writing this wasnt very sure either)
i dont remember this part too much too but it was revealed that the prince actually did like mc hence he always compared the empress to mc after mc's death
the time travel happened because after the collapse of the empire since the empress was chosen she wished to rewind things and restart. thats why mc returned to her child self. in the future the empress will come and try to get the prince to marry her and use mc for the paper stuff that she cant do but it fails.
