Regarding their past, uke may have either hurt the seme intentionally to protect him or there was an actual misunderstanding between them. I'm thinking maybe the scar might be connected to it either as the cause or the effect?
For the present story:
Theory 1: Seme could go the route of getting even with uke by going along with the flow and eventually rejecting and hurting (emotionally) the latter as a form of revenge. By then, uke would hurt the most and disappear, having ran out of candy.
Seme, of course, does not feel fulfilled. He finds out about the truth of the water thingy and by the time he looks for the uke to maybe confess his feelings, he's gone.
Theory 2: Uke actually disappears in front of seme.
Theory 3: They resolve everything and are all well and in love but for some reason, uke still disappears. He doesnt want to and tries to prevent it but there are no more candies left. He disappears while seme is gone.
Theory 3 (TW!!): If uke indeed disappears and seme knows of the water stuff, maybe seme might try drowning himself thinking he'll see uke that way?
Just some initial theories. Regardless of them, PLEASE, LET THIS BE A HAPPY ENDING ╥﹏╥
