I'm quite shocked by the amount of passionate haters on this story,.....and yet here they still are....almost 80 chapters and three years later....right when the new update comes out....
Im not condoning JJK's actions but also, dude, he's a fictional character probably not even drawn with real ink anymore. we're reading fraudulently on free site. You could just....not.

Mmm you're right in that there's no harm. It's not so much the venting that surprises me, it's more that the story has been like this for almost three years and the fact that they'll still come back and read it. I've read a few stories that I absolutely hated, probably left one or two comments to vent, dropped them and then never touched it again.
I gave up on reading this looong ago, I occasionally come back to read the comments and see if the situation gets any better. It doesn't ┗( T﹏T )┛
Author peaked at Bj Alex and let her personal fetish go overboard with this one. Urgh it's trash, but I keep hoping she'll make it redeemable.
I was actually rereading BJ Alex and the story pattern, ngl, is pretty similar. Jinx is just cloaked with much higher stakes, like every thing dialed up to a 10. We get a sweet MC that falls into a transactional relationship with the ML. MC suddenly leaves and ML immediately turns into a die-hard devoted partner without truly getting to know the MC. Although i do agree that BJ alex pulls these tropes much better, the MC was at least trying to get his life together whereas here, the story is pulled along by JJK's mood.
The author herself said she looooves the trashy ex theme and didn't really lean as hard as she wanted and with this one she decided to go all out.
I don't know why her editor hasn't told her to let it go yet...or perhaps it's a way to lengthen the story? I mean if jjk turned into a halfway decent human being the whole onus of the story loses steam. *Sigh*
I guess the story will end when readers collectively move on from this pile of rubbish and read other things. The outrage keeps this thing alive.
I didn't know she said that but i totally see it. I suppose it's because the whole 'douchebag turning around to pine' is a super profitable and popular trope, and she's kinda known for it from BJ Alex. But i think the difference is for Jinx, the douchebag part got way drawn out, and then instead of a slow change, JJK does a sudden 180 out of fear of losing KD.
Idk if you're up to date, but JJK is going through his redemption arc now. I think its interesting to see how his previous actions left a lasting impression on KD. Kinda reminds me of waterside night, so we'll so how this plays out.

We got two troubled individuals trying help one another. Altho, while KD's inability to get himself together previously annoyed me, I do really understand his apprehension towards JJK now. It's similar to Waterside Night now, in the sense that while one financially holds the cards, the other is left flailing and trying to stay on their good side. I imagine it would be a really stressful situation.
Than "thats all that matters" line just turned our ML from a green flag, to a NEON GREEN FLAG

But on a more serious note, YUNNO WHAT, IDGAF IF JJK WAS A DOUCHE OR WTV. This is a piece of drawn fiction, ppl are never this hot and rich anyways, im just gonna sit back and enjoy the the tone of this new era anyways. If youre new here just skip like the first 50 chapters for your own piece of mind.
Not a fan of JJK's sudden romantic interest but I do like the deal he offered at the end:
The things he says about Dan, like his smile or how they lived together, are all things that he's never enjoyed before so to suddenly miss it now is a little left field for me. And I don't mean that he just didn't appreciate or took advantage of KD's prior involvement in JJK's life, I mean quite literally that the ML didn't even seem to enjoy have the MC around. Like at all. The ML never showed interest in spending any time with the MC or getting to know him in anyway. To me, it kinda feels like those spoiled kids with too many toys to even play with, but theyll get upset if even one gets loaned out.
I thought the deal was fair though. If JJK completely lets it go now, there would be no way to monitor KD, who we all know is kind of a self-destructive bomb rn. But he does offer a reasonable timeframe to let things go. I also do appreciate that he's owning up to his mistake but the only issue I have with it is that JJK clearly only feels sorry for his actions bc its Kim Dan. He doesn't see his actions as objectively wrong(which they are excessive, even from a transactional lense). He only recognzes his faults in relation to KD.
