Chan-il character is so important in contrast to Skylar & Cirrus. Its intentional that we're shown how he has an attentive parent in the house.
For the most part we know that Skylar and Cirrus have both been through very traumatic events and weathered that storm alone. ((yes Skylar had some type of psychiatric care but that's another point I would like to go into ,,, sometimes even therapy and psychiatric care can do harm. Many seeking help often get re-traumatized in the process. Just a reminder that it can be difficult to find the right care, not every therapist/psychiatrist is going to be good fit. Theres plenty of documentation and lived experience to confirm this point. If ur seeking help and something doesn't feel right don't lose hope, the right care team for you does exist.. it might just take a few tries to find what works.))
TLDR: AAAAAANywaay my point being that we are given these two contrasts as a real example of how different those who were raised in survival mode may act vs someone who was allowed room to grow and learn comfortably in a safer environment.

I think we are so quick to say "go to therapy" which like Yes, lets destigmatize mental health care... buuuut we can't completely disregard the very real issues that exist within help/treatment. When the one opens up about ryu being abusive towards him as well, there's no way of knowing 1. which twin that was and 2. if that is a lie as well. And as well as why now?? There would have been plenty of opportunity for one of the twins to tell her the situation (this went on for years) but he confines in her only when he is caught?? when it benefits him???

Instead we get Generic Manhwa Rape #457. Interchangeable with a million other stories out there, just change the names. Worse than being bad, it's just so boring.

Throughout the main story we see Hamin setting boundaries with Sehyuk and by the end we genuinely have progress. We see Sehyuk continuously tease & even get angry by Hamins actions yet we never see him outright rape hamin as punishment. So Why The F Would He Do So At The End Of All That Development???
Hamin was sickened by his crush trying to do exactly what the author just portrayed in the side story. EVEN SEHYUK CALLS OUT WHAT HAMIN'S CRUSH WAS GOING TO DO? So clearly both men know what constitutes as rape and Sehyuk sees how Hamin reacts to this. Sehyuk may push buttons, but not once in the story does he inflict intense violence onto Hamin.
TLDR:
Y'all really need to stop making excuses for the sake of enjoying a story. The truth is that these side stories included a problematic & Unnecessary trope that is all too common in bl. You can also acknowledge that you really enjoyed the characters and story before that. But don't just make excuses. You can like a story and STILL be disappointed/angry about something the author does & voice that frustration.

Throughout the whole story, the Sehyuk had a sexual tension with Hamin but there was consent and Hamin himself played the cat-mouse game with boundaries. But the author ruined it to satisfy people with rape fetishes

Now hear me out. This manga has great potential to debate what one should do and morality. But if we go all the way back: If Makoto and Shiori didn't have such a messed up and complicated upbringing the loop would have never started. Hell even if the father had any decency instead of sacrificing his daughter for insurance money the loop probably wouldn't have started either... Really could argue that this story is a great example of how children and youth are made to suffer by the adults around them.
The vicious cycle of violence was started and encouraged by the world the adults created. The kids stuck in the loop were truly alone in their fight for survival.
