My feelings are split on the MC. I understand she's sympathetic towards him and wants him to find happiness after having such a shitty life. HOWEVER, I think it's fair to say that it's already too late for him. He's already tasted blood and is ready to get seconds and thirds. He can snap instantly once she turns her back on him. This is not like the other manga where the MC came before he became a villain and she knows this. At this point, she is willingly and knowingly entering an abusive relationship. Oh well, I'll come back for more. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
I thought Adele was smart. Why wouldn't she keep her key witnesses under guard? Plus why is she so salty, she knew the Duke was popular before they were engaged hell that was the reason they were engaged to begin with!
I don't know about you but when I'm being nice to people I often smile at them. She told him to act nice! I'm not jealous when my bf is smiling at other people. Smiling and flirting are two different things!
No my point is that throughout the story she has been smart, and laid-back by not over thinking everything like most heroines in mangas do. That's Adele's main draw. I just find it weird that now she chose to overthink her relationship with the Duke over something insignificant as smiling at the ugly maid working with the annoying bitch they both hate. It just doesn't seem smart or logical for her character to be jealous in that situation. She knows he doesn't like them.
right...
True. I just hope this isn't the start of a great character becoming dumber/weaker. It happens in a lot of mangas where the female lead starts off strong but then their actions starts to get dumber and weaker in the middle of the story.
I don't think it's the smile or the maid. I think it's the view change. From social point of view ( marriage hunting hussys)He has a pretty high wall up and then he let her in. Now he is smiling around other women. So in the view of the man hunters if they remove her now he is open to women.
So she most likely doesn't want to deal with that headach for the next few decades.
